:grin: my mommy's hair is growing (mom is 60)...she's been really bummed because she got it cut a few months ago. I went to the BSS with her late Friday night to snatch up a few items, and she told me she wasn't trying anything else that nothing was working for her.:nono: I've been trying to get her to implement a lot of ideas that I learn on this forum and have tried myself. she barely had bangs and the back was really short...I could barely use the little yellow rollers in the back/front/sides....but today:grin:, I put some porosity control on her hair before I relaxed it with Just for Me....washed and then conditioned with Silicon Mix I recently purchased (let it condition with a cap for 20 min)...her hair felt so silky and luscious that I wanted to take out my cornrows and try it. :lick: anyhoo, I was roller setting and I can see the diff in length...I used mostly the light green rollers, where as before I could barely use the yellow!!!:grin: her bangs are to her eyebrows...I'm so psyched for her...so psyched that I grabbed my cell to take pics :drunk:I'm going to show her some protective styles especially since its just starting to brush her shoulders:woohoo2: and that's a tough hurdle, she keep it pinned up more now so she doesn't get that breakage when it brushes on your clothes. the side are below her ears now:grin: the blurred pic was from 07/07...I'll post pics from her dry rollerset set later...can't wait

Thank you guys:grouphug::blowkiss::urock:

I love stories like this. I'm happy for her and for you too.

Keep up the great work on mom and keep us posted!

Yeeeeah! Go mom!
My mom asked me for the name of this website..she is supposed to check it out today. I really hope she does. :grin:

I definitely will...she's more encouraged now because you can see the difference...I usually do her rollersets as often as I can...and there is so much progress. I guess it seems slow and practically none to her...but it's getting there:yay:

like I said, Friday at the BSS, she was in the aisle that has the growth aids, it she just sounded just so discouraged that nothing was helping...so she thought. I'll post pics later once her rollerset is dry, I can't wait.:yep:

I'm glad your mother listens to you.She can make a lot of progress. Mine is hard headed, but she lets me do her hair when I visit. I love it when we can help our mamas who have done so much for us!:yep:

they can be sometimes:grin:....I'm still trying to cut out her wig use though, because her nape and edges are thinning, and the wigs are the only thing I can think. I'm a double pj because if something works for me I always get one for my mom...my mom always let me do her hair, i usually volunteer:drunk:...my mom is my best buddy...

I am so happy for you both! What better thing to do mommy&daughter bonding over....haircare!!

exactly, so right...now if only I could cook like her, I would be set for life:lachen: she's one of those people who whips up stuff from scratch....if she died, my dad would die of starvation because he'll only eat her cooking!!

mom's post rollerset pics....her hair felt really soft from the silicon mix..has a natural sheen to it, I set it with Proclaim glossing polish and Hask placenta olive oil leave-in:drunk:
