I want some bangs but I haven't had bangs in 10 years
I was just wondering if "bangs" are in or out

I don't think they are. I was just thinking about getting some bangs cut to give me a change.

I kept my bangs cut as a child. Sometimes I think I want some now, but that would go against me trying to grow out the layers I already have.

just wanted to add this pic. i think bangs like this are HOT!! :yep:

I'm just the opposite i've been wearing bangs for 10 years and finally got tired of them. I'm in the process of growing them out. Probably only to get them back again after i reach my ultimate hair goal. I agree, there will never go out of style.

I think it depends on how old you are.

Actually, I've seen bangs on older folks & didn't think it looked weird.

Just don't get those short 1-inch bangs. Swoop bangs are really cute & flattering.

They are in, actually I'd say they are classic.

I've had blunt brow length bangs, mod style heavy bangs, wispy bangs, and swoop, asymmetrical bangs.
For my hair texture I found that I had to straighten my roots too often with brow length bangs. As the new growth kicked in, it resulted in pieces sticking straight up, etc. I like swoop bangs for two reasons, they are stylish and flattering, but also versatile. Brow length bangs look hot, but I found they limited how I could wear my hair and required too much heat to style (I'm very picky). I noticed that brow length bangs worked best on my straighter haired friends. They washed their hair so often that they were able to maintain the bouncy/grease free bangs whereas mine would be flat long before wash day.

The only bangs I don't like are overly curled Peggy Bundy bangs:

I remember earlier this year I REALLY REALLY.....REEEEEAAALLLYYY wanted bangs, and was set on cutting my progress just to get them. My sister slapped me out of it and said "Get a weave with bangs to see how you look, cuz once u go there, its gonna take a while to grow 'em out"....

And you know wah? The ***** was right, I looked AWFUL with bangs, everyone was like "WTF happened to you marty???" :lachen::lachen:
All i could do was curse my choice and thank God for an older sister!

Maybe a wig/weave to satisfy your curiosity???
Or if your brave enough...go head gurl!

ITA w/ this whole quote!

Bangs are super cute! They take years off your face, and there are many different, cute ways to wear them, esp. as they grow out to various lengths/stages. I love bangs, and i agree with those who said they are classic, and will never go out of style.

I recently cut bangs and I love them!!! I don't think they ever go out of style. I agree that the cut and style of them may change a little but overall they are always IN!

They better not be being that I just cut some last week!:lachen:

I always get snippy around this time of the year with the bangs. In the summer its too hot for them, so I let them grow out-- but come winter, I gotta have my bangs! Its so funny because I can use heat DAILY on my bangs and they never get affected. I guess because the hair there is so strong b/c of the short, blunt length- it can take a beating and keep ticking.

And goodness, has anyone else noticed how FAST they grow out? I end up having to cut them every 2 weeks back above brow length. Now if the rest of my hair grew like that y'all couldn't tell me nothin!!!! :lachen:

I am rethinking bangs. I used to think they don't suit my face but I'm going to try some cute long swooped to the side bangs with my bun.

So yes they are in.
