Who's tried the new Curly Meringue?

I wasn't aware that they changed the formula. Do you know what's different?

I know on the miss jessie's site they say in bold letters "new formula" or something like that. Maybe someone who'd bought some prior will be able to list the ingrediants. Have you tried a search on threads that have that in it to see if someone has previously posted the ingrediants? I would like to know what's changed as well. i have never ordered from them, but since they have that bogo thing going on I thought that this would be a great time to check them out.

Kurlee,

Thanks for posting. I just ordered (BOGO) and have 3 jars of the newly formulated CM (1 jar of RR). On the Miss Jessie's website I did not see anything about the new formula (back to website to look again).

Any reviews would be great. CM was the best curl product I've used. I always get consistent results. My less expensive back-ups are hit or miss.

I'm not sure which one is the new formula.

This is the formula I got on Thursday:
Water, parafinium liquidum, glycerin, triethanolamine, fragrance, carbomer, wheat amino acids, aloe barbadensis leaf extract, avocado oil, coconut oil, sweet almond oil, jojoba seed oil, olive fruit oil, oleth-5, PEG-12 dimethicone, ethylhexyl methoxycinnanate, disodium EDTA, DMDM hydantion, iodopropynyl, butylcarbanate, yellow 5

And this is another formula I found:
Purified Water, Carbomer, PVP, VP/VA Copolymer, Vegetable Glycerin, Triethanolamine, Wheat Germ Oil, Lemongrass Extract, Sodium Hydroxymethylglyclycinate, Tetrasodium, EDTA, FD&C Yellow 5, Fragrance.

I've never used it, but I do know that the second ingredient in the first formula is our good friend, mineral oil. I "think" that the second formula listed above is the old version, because on CurlMart it shows the old packaging for that item. The Curly Meringue with the new packaging shows the first formula as the ingredient list.

I orderded mine with the BOGO sale and i'm hoping i get the old formula because it was pretty good. The new one has more oils and such but im not feelin the parrafinum liquidum as the second ingredient:look:. People alwasy mess with a good thing. I hope SOMEONE has tried it!:bump:

I tried it a few days ago but I never tried the original so I don't have anything to compare it to. I like it though.

Yeah I'm lightweight pissed about that. I thought I was getting the curly meringue from the second list. Oh well...I'll just have to clarify when I use it.

Did you get the 8oz?
What did you lik eabout it?
Does it smell the same?

Yeah, I got the 8 oz. I actually got a good braid out from it. This is like the 2nd good braid out I've had. They usually look jacked. :ohwell: I'm not sure what it smelled like. Kind of fruity but nothing distinctive. Not like the buttercream and the pudding.
