What is one to do when good products go bad?

This product has undergone a transformation. First off, it comes in this chic new deep platinum packaging--really cute. But, the cuteness ends there.

On the front, they still say that it has amino binding compounds when in fact, the ingredient that was "amino binding" is no longer listed as an ingredient. I'm sure they don't expect the average consumer to realize this.

Not only that, but this once sulfate-free formulation now has one of THE worst sulfates in its ingredient list, ammonium lauryl sulfate.

I am on hold right now trying to find out how I can return the 2 bottles I ordered directly from them. :(

The new one your referring to is the only version I'm familiar with. You mean to tell me the old version was better?Maybe if enough people contact they'll think twice next time:scratchch

I have the old one. Just more reason to not replace items. This was a staple. They are going cheaper obviously to save money but maybe if they would make items more readily available they wouldn't have to lose even more customers by changing the formulas. So annoying.

That sux! The thing about it is, they know that most women dont even notice the ingredients so they can charge the same and make more profit since the ingredients are cheaper. Im gonna order a big 32 oz bottle and that should last me a year or more lol. Hopefully Ill get the old version bc I wont order it directly from them....Ill get it somewhere else.

How do you like the new one?

This is very disappointing to hear supergirl. I just bought this shampoo recently and I'm waiting for it to arrive. The main reason I bought it was because it was sulfate free and due to the amazing reviews. I'm still going to try it though. I hope it is really good.

Man, these companies are just messing up everything! Soft and Beautiful (in my opinion) messed up when they "improved" their relaxer system. The only thing that they did was add some oil packets in it to pour into the relaxer. We can do that ourselves! But they replaced a lot of good ingredients in their conditioners and shampoos with synthetic, inferior ones, and I was very disappointed. I'm not going to use their relaxers anymore.

Ditto!

All the DE products I have are in the new packaging...makes sense as to why I hate them ALL :barf:

These companies betta learn :nono2:

Wow! This really bites. And here I was trying to find somewhere in the area that sells DE products. I found a salon and they were out and she told me that she wouldn't be restocking until next week. I'm wondering if she's selling the older version:ohwell:

Well this really sucks . I've been looking for online vendors that carry this line, and finally found one, but now this. Now I really don't know what to do. Has anyone used the updated version of the shampoo and the stimulations conditioner? I'd really like to hear some reviews.

ETA: Thanks Supergirl for the info!

I love it.It makes my hair feels soft like a conditioner would and it made it easy to detangle.I'm waiting for some in the mail now.The super stimulations conditioners is alright.I may repurchase in the future.

Thank you for the review! I'm definitely looking forward to trying it even though there is a change.

That was the horrible shampoo that was used on me before my HAIR WAS CHOPPED IN HALF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HATE IT!!

I am really tired of these companies reformulating products with cheaper ingredients. Mizani did the same thing a while ago with their moisturefuse conditioner and the new version does not work as well .

Someone needs to tell these companies, that the "new and improved" is not so. I think they do these things to cut cost.

Girl, I remember the deal about Moisturefuse. I used to love Moisturefuse. A member here called the company and they swore they hadn't changed the formula, but they had because I had a bottle of the old and new. You are right, the new and cheaper formulation is no where near as good.

Even DE tried to deny (when I called yesterday) that they'd changed the formula until I started quoting ingredients from the old that were no longer in the new. :nono:

They should be embarrassed. Did they fess up?

It broke my heart when they changed this one. I honestly have not found a replacement yet

I had to bump this up since I finally got my hands on the old formula. I was at my local BSS last weekend and was surprised to find two bottles of this shampoo in the old white bottle. I picked up both since I love the shampoo(new formula) already.

Anyhoo, I've shampooed with the old formula twice since I purchased last weekend and can honestly say it seems the same as the "new" one imo. Both the "new" and old formula look and smell exactly the same. They also both produce the same wonderful results imho; intensely moisturizing and excellent detangler. I just posted this for those that have reconsidered trying the "new" formula.
