Cleared my acne marks!

Try bussing open a flaxseed capsule and smearing it on your face before bed

All dry skin will go by the morning

and my lips are looking smooth and peachy!

give it a try

I'm gonna try this...maybe it'll help with these stupid pores that I'm starting to get . I've tried everything and nothing seems to help. Thanx for the info.

Dang, it must be cold over there in Jolly Ole England. I don't have problem with dry face, but I do have an incredible problem with chapped lips and dry hands. I have both flaxseed capsules and the flaxseed oil. I will probably up the ante and take two capsules during the day and take 1 tablespoon of the oil at night.

It's so ironic you posted this. I have a dry patch on my face & nothing seemed to help curb the dryness without further irritating it. My sister suggested I use vitamin E oil but I didn't have any so I popped a Flaxseed Oil capsule instead ( I have 2 bottles). I've been using the Flax oil since Saturday & so far my skin is more moisturized & soothed. Ladies you gotta try this if you suffer from dry skin.

ETA: When i said popped, I don't mean I swallowed ...I actually popped the capsule & smeared it on my face.

Candy_C,

Does this get rid of active pimples (bumps), or clear dark marks....or both?

Also, are you putting it directly on pimples, or dark marks, or your whole face?

Slightly OT...I sometimes take something called Udo's oil which is sort of similar to flaxseed, except that it is a mix of various EFAs. You can read about it here:

http://www.udoerasmus.com/firstscreen.htm

I used to put it in my protein shakes and in salad dressings. One day I was having an eczema flareup on my inner elbow. I knew it would take me forever to get an appointment with the dermatologist. For some reason I decided to pour a tablespoon of this oil on my rash. I rubbed it in, then took my shower and didn't wash it off. The next day the flareup was gone and hasn't reappeared since.

I would like to know this as well bumpppppppppp.

The dark marks just won't go away they faded slightly but they irk me still.

I went to reach for the vitamin e

it makes my skinnice, but it gives me more pimples!!

this flaxseed hasnt aggravated any pimples, and has soothed ones that i've squeezed (naughty) and i havent seen a new one for a week.

my skin is glowing

so for those who dont take flaxseed internally, apply it topically!

i wil ltry it on my hair next

hey, i'm putting it over my whole face like a face moisturizer,

i have sensitive skin, almost anything can give me pimples

this hasnt!!

I wish I had some Flaxseed Oil.
I've read about Vitamin E for scars so popped open one last night for the first time and applied it on some scars-no results yet. I did put some on my lips also and it made them softer than any gloss or chapstick I've ever used.

A tablespoon of flax oil taken twice a day will help the look of the skin and hair!! So if you can take it by mouth!

For acne marks and fading away the scars is glycolic acid...it works as a liquid exfoliant and helps your skin look brighter, clearer and more even-toned. Started using it and has worked wonders so far!

Thanks! I just bought a new bottle from Whole Foods. I already am taking it internally; 1 tablespoon a day. So I may experiment with applying it on my face, too. I'm assuming you apply it at night and do not rinse off...??

What kind of glyocolic acid product are you using? I bought the GlyDerm glycolic acid body lotion from the link below and never used it:

http://www.skinstore.com/store/category.asp?catID=400

Then last month after suffering from dark marks left from a breakout on my face, I decided to use the lotion directly on those marks since it had glycolic acid in it.

I felt a moderate tingling sensation but was going to bed and decided to leave it on overnight. BAD IDEA :nono: The stuff had actually burnt my skin! I mean, burnt it like a relaxer burns the scalp when it's been left on for too long. And I had only used a teeny tiny amount, too-just a few dabs on a q-tip, then directly applied to a few marks on my face. They were small "scabs" (sorry if that's TMI) where I had applied it. Goods news is they fell off very quickly, but I am wondering why it burnt me like that...? I hear so many good things about products with glycolic acid.
