Okay I went back and purchased a CHI too...yeah yeah I know but it was calling me like "u know you want dis guhl." I can either sell it on Ebay, return it or give it to someone for Christmas as a gift(probably my BFF she'll appreciate it). :wallbash: That's what LHCF will do to you... LOL

i've been wanting that Sedu since forever, and I made sure I voted everytime i thought about it...

and now i missed the boat.

i wish it wasn't such a small time slot for the deal. :( oh well... i guess i'll have to wait till the next promotion comes around....

maybe after the holidays it'll go on sale somewhere again...:ohwell:

awww, AN, I am so sorry.

I did not realize until someone mentioned it that they stopped the buying at 4 p.m. I, too, would missed out if I had not logged on here and saw others post about the deadline.

I am sure they will have other sales though. They are not crazy - it is too close to the holidays.

I read somewhere that other companies will be holding poll like sales like this one to make it kinda like Black Friday - to pump folks up for shopping.

I really think Folica will offer more deals. But, even still their regular sale price is only about $20 cheaper, I think. (I may be wrong)

I missed out too and I voted. I thought I was going to get a special email to place my order. I should have come back to the thread.:wallbash:

You did not get the email.

I got it.

It was a bit misleading because the subject of it was something about the Holidays. It looked like one of their regular emails they send out.

Oh, crap, I just went back into my email and found it. Thanks HoneyDew for posting the thread about the Sedu. I'm going to be on top of things the next time a special rolls around like this.

Purchasers - check your emails for shipping status. I was notified that mine should arrive today.

I just got mine today and I just want everyone to know not to use the appliance cleaner if the iron is still hot, warm, luke-warm, whatever. It will damage the plates.

ETA:
I'm waiting to see how other people like it b/c I just don't see what the big deal is. My $20 conair produces the exact same results. Maybe I'll try an FHI next.

ETAA:
I actually really like the $1.95 shower comb. It glides through my hair so easily.

Which one did you get?

I have never used a Sedu, but I have always used other high end irons. I think it is more than the result of the style for me. My FHI outlast my cheapie irons BIGTIME. The FHI went that extra mile and the heat stayed uniform even after years of use. The cheapie ones I've own needed to be replaced more often and developed "hot spots" over the years.

I got the sedu. I was surprised at how cheap it looked. I'll try it again maybe i'll change my mind.

LOL I am so mad that it looks cheap!! LOL

It is even more expensive than my FHI. I can always get those now for $70 or less.

Well, good thing is that it gets great reviews so it must be pretty good. (I hope! LOL)

I got mine tonight!

I like it. I have not used it yet, but I will on Thursday when I plan on doing my hair.

I like the flatness of it compared to my FHI and H2Pro. It seems like it will be easy to use even though it is a 1.5 inch.

Yall trippin.

The Sedu is lightweight and gets the job done with 1 swipe. That's why I luuubbbbs it. No clunkiness and super straight sleekness. :yep:

Haven't received mine yet though... I'm just hoping the chi is worth it.

That is a perfect description! Other 1.5 inch irons have been way too clunky for me! But this one feels even lighter than my 1 inch FHI.

I like it.

Exactly. I guess because my hair is very thick and I already have to have my hands up & all over when I'm flat ironing - I don't want ANY extra weight on my arm. Plus the plates are SOOOOOO sleek that I NEVER lose hairs! Sedu was a heaven sent for me :).

It's just soooo light and flimsy feelin. But the plates are smooth as butter. I will use it when I wash my hair and let you all know from a nappy perspective.

The folks that make Sedu know they should not be charging so much, though.

I am confident that it is a good product and I do think that over time, the higher end irons are just better to have.

But, still!! They know these things should not cost all that much. FHI, GHD, CHI, Solia, Sedu - all of them be trippin!! :spinning:

The company that manufactures the CHI and FHI will actually make irons for folks. Will make one and brand it for you to sell. They are all the same and I bet it cost them next to nothing to make!

I got my flat irons(Sedu and CHI) today. I must say that the Sedu is still NUMBER 1 as far as flat irons are concerned...this "BS" CHI doesn't even have a temperature control..wth???

Oh well... :(

Whoa. I did not even think the check that! Girl send it back. It should not cost that much to send it back.
