I have a friend who is Indian who wants me to put rollers in her hair. She has heavy thick hair like an typical asain indian. Its at her natural waist now with long layers cut into it. She wants it be more so full and curly at the bottom and not at the top of her head if that makes any sense. She says nothing holds her hair. I want to know if someone with experience in rollerseting knows what I can use on her hair to make it hold. And what size rollers I should use.

Maybe setting lotion? Wow, i would love to get my hands in her head, lol! Imagine you would be tired less than half way through, though.:look: I would say mousse, but it has alcohol so definitely not. I know black magnetic rollers are larger than gray, i dunno if there is a next color.

Well I usually blow dry and flat iron it for her sometimes. It's not straight naturally its more so wavy and poofy. It might not be worse than that.

I have a Guyanese friend (the type that looks Indian) who goes to the DS salon regularly and her hair always comes out very nice. They just use Salerm 21 and water while rollersetting. HTH

Aw, that's so cute. She wants a rollerset. I'd use large flexirods and a little mousse.

I wouldn't use anything extra...just water and a light leave in, like we'd use for our own hair after a fresh touch up.
