Okay I'm doing this. I think I'm going to like this process but how long do I have to leave the oil on for it to make a difference?

Thanks!!!

Depends on how much time you have. I like to leave it in overnight so that my hair is thorougly saturated. But 1hr or 2 hrs would probably work just as well.

Arent most ppl doing these in the shower in between shampooing and conditioning? I just shampoo and put in the oil, then let it sit while I bathe, then rinse it out and condition.

well i know im a newbie but i try a castro oil oil rinse and it was terrible because i did not dillute it. My hair was a greasy mess. I would suggest EVOO or coconut oil and if you want to use castro oil for thickening just add a little to a thinner oil

Thank you guys. I left it in overnight but I like to have options so just in case I don't have the time I'll do the bathe thing or the 15mins-2 hour thing.

25 seconds? :lachen: Seriously tho, I'm relying on some of the oil to stay so I don't bother waiting for it to penetrate the shaft. I put it on, rinse it off with hot (but not uncomfortably hot) water, and apply conditioner. :yep: I'm a speed rinser.

I'm with you. Straight castor is a different beast. It's just too sticky or somethin'.
