MTG and vitamins (hair, skin and nail w/ biotin) has helped me w/ my bald spot. I had a sew-in gone wrong and it pulled out a quarter size plug of hair straight from the roots this past Sept :crying3: However, I now have a little over 1 1/2 of NG in that area thanks to MTG!!! :yay:

Lenzi's Request filled in my temple area. They were damn near bald, and now you can't even tell :yep:

Castor oil- 2x a day and massage it in

or

Vitamin E capsules- poke a hole in them and apply it directly to the scalp 2x a day and massage it in.

Thanks AgapeQueen :yep: I would have to agree w/ Carmeldiva, try the Castor Oil and scalp massages, or make or own oil mixture using the oils your hair loves most (but be sure to include castor). Be consistent... take vitamins, do scalp massages, co-wash and/or oil washes, use your oils regularly and give it a month or so and see what happens. If nothing then report back to us and tell us what you did and we will all put our heads together and see if we can't get those sides to thicken up!

Miconazole Nitrate basically monistat or any substitute. I use the Family dollar one.. I know it sounds insane but that stuff works.

This recipe is what grew my bald spots in:

1. Thyme essential oil - 2 drops
2. Atlas cedarwood essential oil - 2 drops
3. Lavender essential oil -3 drops
4. Rosemary essential oil -3 drops
5. Jojoba oil - ½ teaspoon
6. Grapeseed oil - 4 teaspoons

Add the first four ingredients into a small glass jar. Mix well. Now add the remaining two ingredients. Mix thoroughly.

Massage this mixture into your scalp for at least two minutes every night. Wrap your head in a warm towel after treatment, or wear a plastic cap for the night.

Some rinse the scalp in the morning, but I didn't.

No, I got them from the Vitamin Shoppe. I think you can get them from any health store. Whole Foods (formerly Fresh Fields) might stock them.

im jumping on it this weekend $$ willing. i have to get vitamins anyway so i dont have no excuses

I had two big spots on both sides of my head near my temples from age 7 (after my first relaxer) until about 2 years ago. A combo of WGO and Surge is what did it for me. They still sell WGO, but unfortunately the pulled Surge off of the shelves:sad:. I think that MN, BT or MTG would work great. You may also want to try relaxing those areas less then the rest of your hair. For instance, I would relax my temples/edges every other time so every 6 months until it grew at a nice rate.

Make sure you’re getting enough iron in your diet! I’m chronically anemic, so when I’m on top of my iron supplement game, my hair does terrifically. When I slack off, I start shedding like a buffalo in the springtime.

I also swear by pore cleaning treatments to clear debris from clogged pores and to prevent clogged pores in the first place. Scalp massages also work well with peppermint and/or tea tree oils to help blood get to started hair follicles and stimulate your scalp.

More standard treatments: Try minoxidil 5%, but do read up on precautions. Also, products made for the scalp with salicylic acid may work to increase cell turnover.

Good luck! :)

Thanks Nonie..you always come through for me...

I used to massage Vatika Oil on my temple spots and it filled them in nicely. I had a nearly-bald spot on my nape from around February and now it is touching my shoulder (after a few trims to get rid of those nasty ends). I used BT, Vatika Oil, and Naani's Naturals The Elixir growth pomade. The Naani's really helped on my temple and nape spots. I still baby the areas with castor oil, amla oil, and vatika.

Virgin Hair Fertilizer twice a day with a dab of Emu Oil works great for bald spots.
The hair grows back in with a thicker and stronger texture.
The key to maintain a thicker hairline is not relax it after hair grows back until hair is stronger.
