Air Drying with Flexirods????

So,

I just discovered flexirods. They're AWESOME!!! I LOVE the springy curls they create.

I'm curious...has anyone ever tried air drying with these? They're super comfortable to sleep in, so if it's possible, I think I might want to try it!

I tried it...ummm my hair came out too curly. I looked like sherley temple on crack...

I love flexirods. I usually air dry with mine in overnight. Sometimes, I do sit under the dryer for a half hour or so, then I air dry the rest of the night. Works for me!

The flexirod set in my fotki is airdried. I think they turned out great. I added castor oil and a leave-in conditioner to my hair and sealed the ends with castor oil, which created that nice a slick "I used heat" look!

This is how my hair comes out when I've tried them....LOL. I guess I have to get the hang of it and figure out which size rods to use to create the curls I want.

I tried sleeping on these the night before Halloween and the pain made me have the worst night ever! I had to take some NyQuil to put me to sleep.


However, my set the next day was the bomb !

Girl you and me both!!!
I have never attempted to airdry in them though b/c it would probably take my hair a week to dry and I just can't afford a million flexirods either! (they only come no more than 6 to a pack right?)

But I absolutely love using them nightly for curls. The very first time, I went all out and put only 7 in my head and what did I do that for? Yep, Shirley on Crack!!! I only use 2 or 3 of the jumbo ones and that holds me over and I end up with curls that last all day.

(but I have seen someone on here - can't remember who - that was successful in setting their hair while wet on them.....I think the key to not looking like shirley on crack is using the proper size for your hair. If you use a size that's too small, that's wher you end up looking like shirley)

Yeah, I meant to tell the OP that she must have a high threshold for pain b/c mine are absolutely not comfortable to sleep in. Of course that's when I tried to put 7 in though. Most nights I can get by with 1 or 2 jumbo rods and I am good.
