I've gone through airport security with my hair in pin curls using the duck bill clips. I was so nervous my boyfriend kept making fun of me saying they would probably stop me. Thankfully they didn't..lol

The alarm rings if you have a lot of bobby pins in your hair (phony pony), but they definitely don't make you take it out, they just wand you.

Hi Ladies
I am flying to California this weekend and I wanted to wear a clip on ponytail, but I was wondering would I make it through airport security with it on or would I have to remove it. Have any of you ladies tried this recently?
I would not chance having to have to remove it. Are there any metal parts?

I am soo tickled by this topic for some reason. You will be fine though, worse case scenario they will wond you if you set the metal detector off but that is highly unlikely. People have all kinds of metals on them (i.e. bobby pins, buttons, belts, bra underwires, etc.) I travel all the time and have yet to see any hair pieces go through the x-ray machine, although that would be quite a site to behold!!
