I am- I have to. I am going to wash my hair with conditioner (Aubrey's) every 3 days and shampoo with Jessicurl weekly. I will be combing my hair more often, too. Since it's getting longer, my ends need special care. I may even get my hair pressed monthly to 'tame' my ends. I can't wait for this color to grow out.

I have to tweak mine too, my ends are extremely thursty, but the roots of my hair is fine. I have to try something different...

As of this week, I'll be deep conditioning my hair every 3-4 days. Usually I deep condition my hair once each week. I plan on doing this through the cold months. It's an experiment.

Yes. This past weekend I ran out of scalp grease so I decided to "go lighter" and use oils.

I don't care what research says, my scalp needs some help with moisture so I now mix Jojoba Oil with Rosemary Essential Oil (for hair growth) and massage it in once a week. I dot it on my scalp but the massaging distributes it on my hair strands.

My hair has been soooooo soft and strong feeling and my scalp is happy too!

I'll do this once a week only after my wash/sets. More than once a week and I get the itchies and oily flakes.

yep I am.
I now:
-wash every 5 days
-use ACV after every wash
-light protein every other week
-massage scalp ever night
-trim off at least 1/2 inch a month to get rid of thin ends
-eat better and get more sleep

My tweaks for Nov:
*start massaging scalp a few times a week with a rosemary, peppermint oil, carrier oils concoction
*buy a regular comb and that brush thingie Balisi showed me(this wide-tooth comb i've been using could NOT be MORE USELESS:nono:. i'm gonna end up with dreads)
*add a reconstructor or some kind of protein treatment(since I am addicted to DC-ing and end up over-moisturizing my hair)

I am in the process of simplifying my entire routine. I am doing entirely too much to my hair and as a result I have experienced some breakage. So I will:

Shampoo no more than 2x per week
Deep Conditioner after every poo
Rollerset and Pincurl
Use Sulfur mix stuff on my scalp to aid in growth
Use protein 1x per month (or as I see fit)
Relax every 8-12 weeks
Low manipulation is best for my hair I am seeing

No more: henna, baggying, excessive oils, etc.

  • increasing my protein intake by a lot!!!!!!!!!!!
  • wash with shampoo that does not contain SLS
  • for the colder months using more indirect heat
  • getting my hair rollerset and blown out at least once a month to curb my hair boredom
  • increasing (ok no really just start taking) my vitamins.

Since the weather is getting cooler, I have been rollersetting instead of airdrying. It's working well and I'm enjoying rollersetting too. :yep:

yes, am stretching almost 3 months post- my hair is in need of more protein so using medium protein weekly.

I plan to get braids for about 5 weeks, and continue to dc and moisturize my hair through these cold and dry months. After the braids come out, then I will be doing protective styling like half wigs, buns, and updos majority of the time.

yes, I am trying to become more consistent with taking vitamins. Also, Ive found most of my staple products, but Im tweaking my techniques. For example I used to do wash n gos all the time...now Im going to try rollersetting for a while and also doing a french braid on damp hair as a staple style in between...this way I can still wash/wet my hair often. It makes a pretty cute braidout too...sometimes Ill take that down after a day and wear a krinkly ponytail or pin-up.

I have started taking some more vitamins to aid with growth and I think I'll start doing nightly scalp messages. Everything else is fine for now I think.

I tweaked my regimen to include Oil rinses and deep conditioning on dry hair and my hair loves it.

Not so much tweaking as it is going back to my old one:

-Wig it w/cornrows
-Re-do cornrows every 4-6 wks
-Deep condition before rebraiding

Yes! I'm trying to significantly cut back on heat. I've been conditioner/oil washing my hair ever other day and I hope I can do that until New Years. I typically rollerset every week and have the roots blown out, but I want to try no heat for a while to retain more length. If I do rollerset, no direct heat!
