Corrective Relaxer?

A corrective relaxer is re-relaxing your hair because the initial relaxer results were underprocessed.

Is this also called a spot perm? That's what a stylist said I needed, but I was scared and refused it... I said ummm maybe next time and never went back :nono: is it bad for your hair? should I have done it...I never noticed any problems.

Also I heard someone refer to a "halo" which was explained as a relaxer only applied to the edges of the hair...has anyone heard of this? I can't imagine its a good thing.

I got one 4 months ago, I had two, 2 inches sections around my head that was underprocess and I was getting alot of tangles. I am glad I got it done, now my hair is very happy and roller setting is too easy.

My hair was coated with oil, she relax the hair that needed a touch-up let it process first and the last 5 minutes she did the area that needed a corrective.

Girl, don't let anyone re relax hair that has already been relaxed. When you relax your hair, you already take off the first layer of the cuticle to straighten your hair. When you re relax it, damage occurs.

Warning-Warning-Warning-Warning!!!

I know from experience... thats why I had to cut off my shoulder length hair to become a TWA(1/4 of an inch) all natural.

It was fine at first. Then eventually my hair broken off in the worst way...
