Hey, I wanted to start a poll and see how often everyone is doing this. I'm not sure if overtime this will dry my hair out but for anyone who does this, how many times a month are you doing this?

So far I've only done it about 2xs so I can't profess to the dryness occuring just yet. But I think if I type fast enough I will be the first one to vote in your poll. So I think twice a month is good for me. It makes my curls go pop pop pop.

I don't think an ACV rinse done properly can dry out the hair. It seals the cuticle and makes my hair really smooth and shiny, kind of like the cherry on top of a pie for my conditioner.

I remember reading of one member who said she doesn't even use conditioner, just ACV rinses.

ACV is apple cider vinegar right? IF SO, how do you get the smell out? With an essential oil, with a conditioner?

I used it for the first time last week and my hair felt soft instantly. And it helped detangle alot. I might only use it once a month though.

I rinse it really well with cold water. I only had a residual smell one time. I follow it with a leave on conditioner.

I've only been doing this for the last couple of months. Someone posted that they let it sit in their hair for a few minutes. I wasn't doing this but I'm going to start.

The last time I did an ACV rinse, I had to walk around with that smell lingering behind. I think I used too much ACV. Even though I had diluted it really good, I think I used too much. Tell me, how is everyone making their ACV rinse mixture? How much ACV are you using?

I use 1 cup of ACV and 1 cup of cold water. I mix it in a big measuring cup that I have and pour it through my hair then rinse really well with cold water.

1 cup ACV?? Wow, that's a lot!! I thought it should be like 2 tbsp to 3 cups water or something like that. That ACV is strong!!!

I'm not sure. It might be too much. I read a couple of posts here and that's what a few people were using. I may cut back at my next shampoo and see if I can see a difference.
