These caps and bonnets are featured in the November 2007 issue of Essence magazine. Has anyone had an opportunity to try these items? If so, did you order them? I checked the website, and there isn't a store listed that sells them; at least, not in Los Angeles.

Yes! Please post a link. :yep:

I had the best satin scarf that stayed on all night and I lost it over the summer (I think my niece "borrowed" it while visiting). I've purchased 4 scarves since, and none of them stay on like that one. They come off in the middle of the night and wake me up! :perplexed  :nono:

I saw this in Essence, too. I wanted to go right out and buy one, cause the one I have SUCKS! They look soooo soft and comfortable to wear

you can buy them from anywhere. I got mines from CVS. I don't use it because I can't deal with something on my head at night.

I don't have this magazine. What kind of caps and bonnets are these Shynessqueen? Are they the regular, black satin caps and bonnets (some with ties)?

Thanks for posting this Bre~Bre! I haven't seen these before.

I am not sure if this is what she was speaking of. I don't have the essence magazine so just did a search on google. Looks pretty interesting. I doubt it would stay on my head though, i sleep waaay to wild.

I sleep pretty wild myself, but I may have to check these out. I usually have to double up and tie another scarf of bonnet around the scarf covering my hair.

Wow, I wonder if the patent ran out on those other ones that are just like this. These look like a direct copy. I hope these are more reasonably priced because I will be getting one.

Ladies, thanks for your comments. I bought the bonnets at Walmart. I don' recall the website, but I think I typed in the name and presto! There it was with a full line of hair coverings. One thing I noticed is that the color comes off the black bonnet when my hair is thoroughly oiled, so it would be best to wash it first before wearing it; otherwise, you will see navy blue dye on your pillow for several nights.

I am using the same silk scarf i have used since college. It works for me. I don't sleep wild so that's probably a good thing. I can't switch scarves, its almost like my scarf "knows" me! Although I did recently poke a hole in it!LOL

I've had this satin cap since the beginning of April. . .and I love it! It actually stays on pretty well. Even when it falls off by the time I wake up, it's only "slipped" a bit and is never completely off my head, if this makes sense. I still prefer my regular silk scarf (if that) over anything though.

ETA: The band around it is elastic even though it looks "harder" on the pic on the box. That's how it slips in the front somewhat. HTH!

I use one. I really like it. Believe me, I am one of the worst sleeper ever adn it stays on all night. It does fade on my pillow when I oil my hair alot though.

They're great!

I sleep like a maniac.

My problem...I have little, Elvin ears that hate to be covered except in winter.

I'm not joking. I loose sleep if my cap moves over them. So....I make do with cheapies. The shower cap I wear beneath keeps them on. :lachen:

BUT THEY WORK! They're worth it. I can only get them at Sally's in my corn-town.

i didn't like the bonnet. the circumference of my head was too small, i guess, so it always slipped down to cover my eyes. :lachen:i'll try a scarf next time.

:yep: I use these, the scarves don't seem to stay on as well as the bonnets. but the bonnet stays on very well

I LOVE MINE!

The black dye will run on you though, especially if you use oils in your hair. I bought the brownish one and some of the dye still ran but no where NEAR as bad. I had a few spots on white pillowcases. The black comes off on EVERYTHING (especially if you keep oil on your hair). I got it on my pillowcases (ruined) my hands, my sheets, my clothes. I wasn't too happy with that but I wore it anyway.

I'm a rough sleeper and this stayed on. :yep: I wear it pulled over my hairline so it sits on my forehead and not my temples. I don't have a problem with the traction at all. Awesome product.
