Anyone ever heard of this? It had 10 great reviews on makeupalley.com, no bad reviews. It's a pre-shampoo treatment to repair damage hair and improve elasticity. Well I use it last night as directed (wet hair, put treatment in, place plastic cap on for a few minutes). I left it on for 20-30 minutes.

Honestly my hair did not come out as soft and silky as I was expecting. However I can definitely feel a difference in the strength of my hair. I keep running my hands through my hair hoping a strand would shed and I could test the elasticity but I can't get a strand of hair for anything. So I'll have to update you guys if I ever shed a strand to test. Also my hair is not dry either. So I guess this calls for thumbs up on this product.

I bought it off their website, phillipkingsley.com, and with shipping I paid $50 and some change. I hated spending that money but a little goes a long way so I'll have that little bottle for a long time, especially using it only once a week.

never heard of this product until now. I have been experiencing shedding & breakage and will give this a try. thanks for sharing.

I used to use this a long time ago. From what I remember it had some good ingredients including castor oil and glycerin. I didn't reorder because I was in a huge PJ phase then and trying lots of things. I also bought a few oils and glycerin with the intention of making my own pre-shampoo treatment.

OT: I also tried the Kingsley remoisturizing scalp treatment and still have some of the remoisturizing shampoo and conditioner. The scalp treatment is great and I am thinking about re-buying it and re-trying the elasticizer.

how are these? are they very moisturizing?
tia,
tishee

Based on my experiences when I used them last year, I would not re-buy. I didn't find them to be very moisturizing and there is something in them that coated my hair and made it plastic-y. Also, they smell like an old Balsam conditioner that I remember from my childhood.

thanks sweetie

there is a extreme elasticiser version of this i really want to try it i guess i will add it to the hair shopping list :spinning:

Love this stuff as an overnight pre-poo - Curls popping all over the place. I also think this would be a great post relaxer pre-poo for the relaxed ladies. I am now thinking of trying the Elasticizer extreme.

This is so funny...I just checked the "Search" to see if this was used here and its so good to see that you have used it and love it....hmmmm, I'm thinking about getting it.

^^^ I think it's worth it N&W.

I had a few trial sized tubes which I just finished so look for those first before committing.

I think it works best as an overnight pre-poo on dry hair. :yep:

Thanks for the tip, PR. I will get the trial sizes first. Shipping shouldn't be too much since I can order from the store here in NY.

I will order and try it and let you know how it worked for me. I'm going to try to get the extreme one. Apparently, that one is for AA hair and suppose to work much better than the original.

As much as I liked the elasticizer something in it made my nape broke out. Only one other product has ever done this to me. I wasn't using the other product at that time.

^^^ N&W- Yeah I think I will get that one next.

Going shopping with DH tomorrow so I will steer him towards the Philip Kingsley Counter

Saw this thread and had to cosign on Elasticizer. This is the only thing that really made a difference for my dry and brittle hair. :yep:

Get the extreme version and super charge it with some ceramides and a prepoo on dry hair and heat/ steam with it. Or overnight. Ignore that 20 minute thing not effective enough on black hair. I promise you will not be dissatisfied. One of the best hair products ever made that I consistently buy now that my pj period is over. :yep:
