Ok, I have heard too many people talk about Aveda products. I just purchased some online yesterday. I hope this stuff is good.

My favorite Aveda product is the universal styling cream. I have 2 bottles and 1 tube of this stuff:grin:

Yes, Aveda is great . I alternate between the DR (protein) and Brilliant (moisture) lines.

Thanks ladies! If anyone else would like to share any Aveda products they have used, I would appreciate it.

I loooove Aveda DR. Excellent line. I am a newfound groupie of the Aveda Brilliant conditioner. I just ordered my liter of this stuff. Great moisture!!! I also like the Sap Moss Nourishing Concentrate and the Brilliant AntiHumectant pomade. I did not like the Universal Styling Creme so I had to find that a new home. I think it was a fluke. Aveda makes some great products!!

I left some Aveda DR conditioner in my hair the other day and it left my hair really soft.

I'm actually going to return three products tomorrow and pick up something. Maybe the Brilliant conditioner that's supposed to be so good.

I think I could go without the DR Intensive Treatment.

I've tried it all:spinning: and I love the Sap moss prepoo, Damage Remedy line, Anti-humectan pomade, Elixir leave in, Finishing glosses and hang straight.

Generally all of their products are great but my staples are the sap moss shampoo and the nourishing concentrate pre-poo, Damage remedy conditioner, brilliant conditioner and brilliant universal styling creme (my absolute favorite!)

One thing I noticed with Aveda is that its not until consistent use that I really start to see the great results.

Aveda is great, my faves are:

Humectant Pomade
Anti-Humectant Pomade
Universal Styling Cream
Black Malva Color Conditioner

The Damage Remedy line is also great, I'll probably try the Brillant conditioner next.

I love Aveda. I just hate spending the cash. :nono:

But, I am soooo excited! I am going to be in Florida for some training (for work :ohwell:) all next week and I will be staying at a hotel resort that is an Aveda Concept spa and it has Aveda products in the room. I was so excited when I saw the Aveda name on the website. :yep:

I've never tried any of Aveda's products. I always go into their store when I go to the mall (the staff is nice and they serve good tea ) but I've never actually bought any of their products. I've heard that the universal styling cream is good, though.

I love aveda. There are very few non aveda products I use. The sap moss concentrate is a dream come true. Everytime I use it my hair comes out totally soft and managable.

Love Aveda...I have and use nearly all of their products. You can't go wrong with them and their products work best when used together:yep:.

Can I go too?:grin::grin: Have fun and think about us everytime you use Aveda:lachen:

Ok I took back the Smoothing Fluid, Spray on Shine, and Humectant Pomade.

I exchanged it for the Brilliant Conditioner, Sap Moss Shampoo, Universal Styling Cream, and more of the DR Conditioner.

I use aveda for everything except for a leave-in. I actually just moved and Aveda is the only shampoo/conditioner stuff I have.

I combine Brilliant and DR lines for my conditioner. I use Brilliant as a shampoo.

I have two questions:
1) what is the universal styling creme used for?

I had some a long time ago and the consistency was kind of like glue or something...couldnt figure out if it was supposed to be a moisturizer or to smooth the hair back or what....

2) what is the difference b/t the humectant and the anti-humectant as far as the use/results.

I use the Aveda USC as a moisturizer on rollerset hair, as it won't revert my style. The Humectant pomade is water based, I use that to slick down my edges. The Anti Humectant pomade contains no water and is good for shine and to block out humidity. HTH :drunk:

thx for explaining that, Priestess. I think I need the antihumectant.

I really like the Scalp Benefits poo and the Anti-humectant pomade. Unfortunately, I haven't tried too many other Aveda products. I would like to try the sap moss concentrate one day. :yep:
