Please excuse my ginormous forhead, usually i wear bangs unless I do a wash n go.

I have found the trick for succesful bantus to be as follows:
Make sure hair is not dripping wet, it only needs to be damp
Hair MUST be conditioned, moisturized and sealed properly. I like to seal with coconut oil all over my head, not just the ends
Bantu's must be first done with two strand twists all the way down to the end, then make the bantu
Hair must be dry completely. This morning my hair was still damp so i used my diffuser to finish drying, then took them down

I'm all up in here looking for the pics of the bantu knots. No you didn't take them down without taking pics first. You did a good job. How many bantu knots did you do?

I love bantu knots... such a cute and funky hairstyle! I really like the way yours came out, Bre... I've tried them a couple times (pics in fotki)... I love how they have such a unique look on everyone

 Whoopsie. I forgot to take the pics of the acutal bantu's

I will be redoing once this set goes bad in a few days so will take pics next time i do them

Allandra, i prolly had about 10 bantu's. I can't wait for my hair to get long so i can really rock this style. The awesome thing is that my hair feels so dern soft from the coconut oil :)

Look how pretty this came out!!

Your bantu knots came out really nice, Bre! I like that style as well but it only lasts a few hours. I'm not sure what to do to make them stay longer.

It should definitely last for more than a few hours. Are they completely dry when you take them down? Are you lightly seperating/finger combing?

Bre.. you have a lot of hair:yep:.. and the bantu knots give nice body to your hair!!

OT: Is that the LHCF topic page that is up on your computer in the background? LOL

:sekret: why you all up in my business and stuff. Noo, uhh, that's not lHCF up, ummm, i'm working...yeah, that's it :lachen:

everyones hair looks good in those i might just have to try them instead of my usual braid out

bantu knots (or mini buns) are always better for my hair b/c it's less manipulation as opposed to those braid outs that I used to do:nono: I had some breakage with braid/twist outs.. alot of people have success with braid/twist outs and they looked good on me but after awhile that breakage got me :wallbash:
