I am getting Senegalese twists on Thursday. How long should I keep them in before they begin to look raggedy?

I say 5 weeks. I jusy got mine on Sunday.

I had some before and I kept mine in for 2months. I went back after a month and got the front and back touched up. But Ive known people who keep them in for 3 months, with washing, conditioning and getting touch ups.It was expensive so I wasnt trying to take them down too soon. Hope this helps

Only you will know when your hair starts too look raggedy. No longer than 3 months (12 weeks).

aT 5 WEEKS I AM LOOKING BAD. but I am starting to notice I like them once they are at like 3 weeks old and beyond. I also wash mine weekly and I oil them every other day. Since I do my own twist it is really cheap for me 20 bucks for a whole month or beyond if I dare be brave.

I also use the Marley braid. I really like it better when I soak it in the ACV before braiding and let it airdry. It comes out so much better.

Yup. I do that to. I learned that when I was looking at the crown and glory braiding video. I also do the ACV after.

I just scheduled my Senegalese twist appt. today. I was told to get the Kanekalon and I vaguely recalled something about "pre-treating" the hair.... I don't know if the braider would want this done or not... should/could I wait until after my twists are done and then do an ACV when I get home?

You can do it later if you wish. Remember its not about what the braider wants. Its your hair. The ACV treatment is to remove the alkaline that is used to treat the Synthetic hair. Here is the Link.
