I am seriously debating whether or not to go natural.

I haven't had a full relaxer since April. However, I did do my edges not long after that botched weave job about 2 months ago.

I was gonna get a relaxer yesterday but I didn't make to the salon. So today, I washed, conditioned and flat ironed it myself and it came out pretty decent. (Although I'm a little pissed because somehow the Silicon Mix I bought in NY didn't make it to Boston). So now that my new growth isn't totally out of control, I'm thinking maybe I should just transition.

I mean, for the most part right now, I'm not really wearing any styles that require all of my hair to be completely straight anyway (I just occasionally flat iron the part of my hair I leave out when wearing my fall).

*sigh*

Don't mind me, I'm just thinking out loud. :look:

GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!

I have been transitioning since June/23, and I have not looked back..I am loving the new growth, and can't wait to see what it looks like.

Think of it like this, you can transition to natural and if you end up NOT liking it, you can always relaxer your hair afterwards. At least you will have given it a chance:yep:

We're in the same place MzLady....I'm 7+ months post and I still don't know what to do!

So what's keeping you from wanting to transition?

This is true.

I actually bc'd a few back but I didn't really know how to work with it. I don't know if I'd bc again but at least now I have LHCF to help me with the transition. :yep:

No idea.

I went looking for it and it wasn't in my bag.

LOL @ join us. Sounds like a cult. :lachen:

I had to leave mine behind in NYC but ole boy is sending it to me!!

Yessssssssssssss, join us for the natural peeps will be the only ones able to board the spaceship that comes to pick us up before doomsday!!!:spinning:

you can try it out. you can always go back. i was natural but just got my hair texturized last week! i'm so so happy with it. i absolutely LOVED my natural hair but i was tired of it frizzing up with the slightest bit of humidity and now i'm working out a couple of times a week & it was just unbearable!:nono:
today i washed my hair and now i see that i can actually do a "wash n go":woot:

Nothing in particular is keeping me from wanting to do it. This site just makes it hard to decide what to do.

Sometimes I see some really nice relaxed head and I'm like "okay, I can grow long, healthy with a relaxer".

Then I see somebody with gorgeous natural hair and I'm like "oooooh", LOL.

IA with this...but I am sure you will be just fine. I stayed in braids throughout my transition, and then when it got to a decent length (meaning when I got comfortable) I just started wearing my own hair, maybe about a year ago..I have been natural 2 years

I stopped relaxing b/c I was wearing wigs, falls & braids and didnt see the point of relaxing just to slap a wig on....

Exactly!!!! :yep:

That's the main reason I'm leaning towards natural.

Cool!!!!

When I bc'd I got a texturizer but like I said, I really didn't know how to care for it. I think I'd do a better job now.

Same here! I look through all the beautiful natural fotkis and I'm like "ok i can do this" then I see gorgeous relaxed hair and I'm back at square 1.

This is how I feel about it!

:grin::grin:DO it!!! DO it!!! DO it!!!:grin::grin:

BTW- I will be using sew-ins to help get me over the hump.

That's how I ended up transitioning too MzLady. I was wearing curly weaves and after while my edges started blending better. Come on and join the club!

do it do it do it! Does u think natural hair will suit ur lifestyle? It can be time consuming, especially if u work out alot. Think about it for a while:drunk:

Well, you guys convinced me.

I'm gonna give it a shot.

I just gotta figure out what works for my hair cause right now, it seems like nothing does.

Even when I use the scarf method to smooth it down at night, by the morning it looks all dry and raggedy.

You know you wanna do it so come to the dark/nappy side. I'll bet your hair is beautiful and you will look gorgeous with your natural hair.

LOL.

Girl, my hair is a H.A.M. :nono:

I need to spend more time over here and less time running my mouth in OT, LOL.

But thanks! I do think natural would work well for me.
