Flat ironing after relaxer at salon?

Hello all! I just had a question that I really needed help on. Here it goes. I will going for my 6 wk touch-up and my stylist usually blowdrys my hair and flat irons it when done and it looks great! and she uses the CHI heat protectant. I am still new but over this past month I have only used my falt iron like once and blow dried my hair with heat like twice, now this is a big diffrence from before I started, I use to use heat everyday while my hair was down. So heres my questions

1. Should I tell here not to blow dry but to roller set and if so does this cost more?

2. Should I bring my own relacer or should they have options? She had Mizani last time but I didn't ask if she had others, and if I bring my own is that less money.

Any help would be great thanks.

I dont know about prices (I never go to salons), but a rollerset would definitely be best. The less direct heat, the healthier your hair.

1. Should I tell here not to blow dry but to roller set and if so does this cost more? YES!!! please tell her to rollerset after the relaxer...it shouldn't cost more to do. Plus, it's much better for your relaxed hair especially after having a chemical treatment done.

2. Should I bring my own relacer or should they have options? She had Mizani last time but I didn't ask if she had others, and if I bring my own is that less money. It depends, do you like your relaxer? Mizani is a great relaxer, but if your more comfortable using your own then do so. I wish I had the last time I went to a salon. She said that she would use Mizani, but she used a cheap relaxer instead, THEN she used a marcel flat iron after blowing it out w/ a comb attachment. She didn't deep condition me either:nono:. Please learn from my mistakes...I hope it works out for you!

I just get kinda timid and don't want to offend her althouggh she seems to be very understanding and u know what I am paying for it. My may thing is I love how my hair looks straight so with a rollerset how do I convey that I still want it straight or will it be straight with the rollerset?

Either a rollerwrap or have her set your hair on the biggest rolllers possible. I just had my hair blown out lightly post my last relaxer for a trim, and I don't like how my hair felt. 2 weeks later it is back to normal with a collagen containing dc and plenty of moisture.

ITA w/ the previous 2 answers:yep:! I'm not sure how long your hair is, but get a rollerset done w/ the biggest rollers possible. Then have the stylist wrap your hair after taking them out. She can either let you sit under the dryer again, or just keep it wrapped until you're ready.
