Q: What are you ladies bed time rituals?? I usually spray some Elasta H-2 on the ends and then apply Mango butter and sleep under a satin cap...I'm interested to find out what the rest of you do...

I put BB mositurizer followed by Khoret Amen Oil on the ends. Then wrap or braid. Cover with satin cap.

Depends if you are interested in a Natural or Relaxed routine i guess.

As a Natural Head i apply Vatika Oil to scalp and a little on my ends and put into large twists and then cover with a satin scarf.
I then untwist in the morning.

I'm natural in a weave I put my mn/ sulphur mix on my scalp then tie with a satin scarf...

I'm natural. At night i moisturize (esp my ends) w/some cream and wild grwoth hair oil or humectress. Then I do one french braid

I take my hair down from the loose pinup (wearing my hair up to get past the fragile shoulder-length stage),

Detangle my ends with a wide tooth comb

Moisturize them with shea butter pomade

Put on a silk bonnet and hit the sack. (I don't wrap or anything because in the morning, I just put Caruso rollers in areas needed and pin it right back up.)

Thanks for the replies Ladies...For naturals, do you sleep under a silk bonnet?? This is for my daughter's hair..Relaxed..What would you suggest for medium length hair (chin length or a little longer)??

I am relaxed. I put Elasta QP Mango butter on my ends, followed by a castor oil seal. Then I loosely tie on a silk scarf (so loose, it's almost like a bonnet, except I tighten it around my hairline). On the second or third day after I've washed, I apply a little castor oil to my scalp.

I prefer to tie my hair down then put a stin bonnet on top if i feel like it - this is in case the scarf comes off in the night.

It depends if you want to keep hair neat or flat. The bonnet is probably more comfortable, not so tight on the head and less likely to slide off.

I'm texlaxed with collarbone length hair (a few inches below)...Hmm..what do I do before bed? Some nights I moisturize with B&B Oil Moisturizer and use those fab Pillow Rollers that I can actually sleep on. Then wrap with a huge satin scarf, tie at the back once (not a Knot) and go to sleep.

Otherwise, I will moisturize with NTM Silk Touch Leave In and just tie it up with a scarf. I may bump it in the morning.

I'm 4/b 40% relaxed/60% texlaxed...

I divide my hair into 4 sections. Spray each one with regular water until just damp. Apply a small amount (little less than dime sized) of Jane Carter Solution Nourishing Cream Hairdress to each section. Take two small drops of castor oil and apply it to the last 2 inches of hair on each section. Pull hair back into a ponytail and put on a baggy (may switch to putting hair into two rollers tonight). Go to sleep on a satin pillowcase :yep:

I'm texturized and I spray it with Eqyss or put on Aveda B and put it into a loose braid and wrap with a scarf.

I'm relaxed. I used to wrap at night but realized that my hair doesn't like it and was breaking more when I wrapped. So now I take my hair down out of my protective style. Finger comb it out. Then I part it down the middle with my fingers. If it has any 'tangles' I may gentle finger comb them out or use my soft boar bristle brush to do it. I then apply my moisturizer to my hair (Jane Carters Nourish or Carols Daughter Hair Milk currently) mainly to my ends..VERY LIGHTLY..then seal with castor oil. I may also put avocado butter throughout my hair...just rub it over lightly.

I then do two large twist from front to back on either side of my head and I secure with a bobby pin (or one of those large plastic brown bun type pins). I leave my bangs out...I then take a roller (my own pincurl method....lol)...I roll the bangs in two sections on either side..I then slowly pull the roller out while still holding the rolled hair..then I secure with a clip or bobby pin (I can't do pincurls any other way). Then I put on my satin cap and I'm ready for bed. I wake up with very soft hair with waves. I put it up anyway and never wear it down that way but the twist really help me to maintain my length and keep it neat at night. I have no breakage from this method.

I'm relaxed, just past collar bone. No matter what, I always moisturize my ends before bed. I use End All, Hairveda Baggie Cream, and/or Castor/Camellia oil mix. I always put some moisture on my nape and front edges. These are my problem areas. If it's a BT day, I apply that, also. I have been getting good moisture from my after-wash leave ins so I don't need to apply my Qhemet Heavy Cream every day anymore. :yep: Every other, now.

I'm natural; I usually oil my scalp and ends with jojoba oil and wrap my hair and tie with a silk scarf (I secure the scarf with bobby pins so it doesn't slip off my head in the middle of the night---or sometimes I put a satin bonnet over it). If I'm wearing a braidout the next day, I'll put my hair in about 6-12 little braids and oil the ends and put on a scarf.

Thanks for this information - a nighttime ritual is the only thing missing from my regime.

Those that wrap at night - are you doing a tight wrap? Do you use multiple head ties to keep the hair down? When I wrap my hair I always end up sweating too much or the head tie comes off...

def oil my ends with whatever oil i have usually kemi or etc

little bit of leave-in-- a little goes a long way

and satin/silk bonet on my head...or scarf this is the deal breaker no hair must touch any cotton pillow-cases or etc...loose bun or soft rollers...

For straight hair:
I moisturize the very ends with UBH creme moisturizer and coconut oil, and then use 4 or 5 large magnetic rollers to make a mohawk rollerset. Tie the whole thing up with a silk scarf. Sometimes I cross wrap.

If I don't care if it's straight:
Spray until slightly damp with UBH Dew or eqyss rehydrant, use UBH creme or elucence MB conditioner on ends and edges, then apply coconut oil or avocado butter. Put in loose bun and put on silk bonnet.

I'm relaxed and I put moisturizer on my hair and castor oil on my ends, cross wrap and tie with dro rag type scarf.

I'm relaxed and I'm a little past BSL (as of my last check in July). I don't wrap my hair. I use a moisturizer, seal w/ oil and then pull my hair into a bun and secure w/ a bobby pin. Secure w/ a silk scarf and then I'm good to go.

I'm texlaxed and APL. If I'm doing a straight style then I squeeze a little NTM silk or Herbal Essence daily moisturizer on the ends, lightly rub into hair, then crosswrap, clamp, tie on satin scarf and slid out clamps. If it's not a straight style then I still rub on the NTM silk or Herbal Essence then loosely bun and put on an inside out bonnet.

I've got a perm. I moisturise ends w/ my spray bottle concoction or S-curl and seal with castor oil, braid, bun or braid, put on satin cap.

I'm relaxed and I moisturize with Africa's Best Liquid Mayo and seal w/JBCO or dab Mizani H20 Nighttime Treatment on my ends. I usually set my hair in a twistout with 4 twists, or I might make 2 bantus or a loose bun, then put on a silk scarf.

*sigh* Lately I've just been pulling off my quick weave and tying on my satin scarf. Seriously! :nono: I don't touch my hair at all.

I need to get back to my daily massages and scalp treatments with essential oils.
