This mask is starting to sound good, wich one is it that's being raved about?

Pantene relaxed and natural breakage defense mask. It comes in a brown and purple jar.

I saw this as the grocery store today. It looks pretty interesting. I just hate the way Pantene's products smell. Not bad just blah to me. I wonder if this product has that signature Pantene boring scent.

I think it does. A little perfumy to me so I add a couple of drops of lavender oil to make it better.

gymfreak...

I came back to post just to let you know that this thread pushed me over the edge...

somehow...I just went to Amazon and got the 3 pack of Pantene and 3 tubes of NTM DDC.

*I need to go take a nap and get the heyall away from the computer for a little bit...*

ETA: I ordered on Sunday, 5/27 and it was at my door on Saturday, 6/2. Thanks Amazon... As far as the mask, I actually kinda like the smell. Look forward to finally trying out....

Mango387 (mumbling to herself) I have posted about the mask at amazon.com about two or three times. Folks complain that sisters don't help sisters out, but sometimes I feel like the voice crying out in the wilderness w/ no one listening. That's alright I'll just buy all of the masks for myself:lachen:.
JUST KIDDING:grin:.

Girl I heard ya. I skipped over to amazon to check it out. Thanks for the advice. They have alot of drugstore products in sets. I'm gonna go look for some garnier in a minute. Keep supplying us product junkies with links please:)

I have the Pantene Pro V Breakage Defense Mask. I used it without heat because I don't have a hooded dryer. I left it on for about 30-45 minutes. It's great. It really left my hair feeling soft and detangled. As for combatting breakage, I'm going to have to keep using it to see.

This was something I had under my counter and used to practice relaxing my 18 weeks of NG. When I started to run out I also used Tresseme to help me detangle knots. I've used a little ORS and olive oil and my very ends, but otherwise the main thing that has been on my hair for the last 4 days has been the Pantene mask and it smells incredible. I bought it on sale at Target a few months ago and I cannot find the a pic of the container on their website. Maybe this was discontinued.

:sad:Yeah it's not there any longer. I had it in my basket (almost ready to buy). When I went back last week they said the seller stop selling it and so they put it in my saved section. Right not that 3 jar thing is over.

I loooove how this mask smells, the last time I used it my hubby was all up in my hair smelling it. I like how it has a different fragrance from the basic Pantene products. Plus the mask works really well too. :yep:

Target always has it, if you have one near by. Also CVS carries it too. Amazon sure did pull the plug on the 3 mask deal. :ohwell: The product hasn't been discontinued, by the looks of different pics, it looks as tho they may be updating the packaging.

****FYI****Priestess is right, Target always has the Pantene masks and this week they are 10% off. Their price is already the lowest Ive seen -

I havent tried the mask, but I use the one for curly or wavy hair. It a GREAT mositurizer and it helps put my springs back in place after a long week. I use the shampoo conditioner and mousse.

I posted (and I think someone else did as well) a target coupon good for Pantene products. I think this was a bout a week or two ago.

Pantene mask is back on Amazon. I guess they found a seller.

Wooohooo! I'm all over it!

Gymfreak I could  you for recommending this product! This mask has helped me whittle my 6 conditioners down to two. I dunno why I never tried it before (Y'all know I use everything else in the Pantene line...why I never picked this up, I have no idea:nuts:)

Man...Patene R&N Mask + EVOO + hot steamy towel =:yay:

Thanks again!

Is this mask really moisturizing or more just detangling and the feel of moisture?

I would say really moisturizing. It detangles well for me especially when I use heat but it doesn't build up easily either. I get less hair in the tub when I use on a regular basis.

Hey Gym, have you ever used Silicon Mix? This Pantene mask is my absolute CRACK for detangling and melting my newgrowth. But I know a couple ladies here give that title to Silicon Mix. I was wondering if you ever compared the two?

I know you're asking GymFreak, but I just thought I'd offer my :twocents:
I like the Pantene Mask a lot better than Silicon Mix. Plus the Pantene Mask is easier for me to get and I prefer it's fragrance to Silicon Mix. Silicon Mix has mineral oil as the 2nd ingriedient whereas the Pantene Mask has jojoba and coconut oils. It's also my go to product also when strethching. Both are good for detangling I just prefer Pantene BD.

This type of thread is the reason I stay out of this forum. It just sends the pj in me spinning!!! Q

ITA!!

I just got a chance to try silicon mix. I ordered a small tub during my amazon shopping spree last month. I think it is okay but I really like the pantene better. Both are easy to apply and rinse out but silicon mix doesn't give me softness until I dry my hair. My hair feels soft as soon as I rinse out the pantene. Silicon mix makes my hair feel a little hard when rollersetting and I think that is the mineral oil. My hair doesn't usually like conditioners with mineral oil. The major plus for me in terms of ingredients in Silicon mix were the ceramides. I probably will finish off my tub but I don't think I will repurchase it. I think I am going to try a wheatgerm mask as my next dominican conditioner.

:yep:I absolutely agree with gym. This stuff is so moisturizing for me and my hair is like butta. No problems with tangles. It definitely keeps my hair strong. Love it!!!

Thx Priestess & Gym! :D I think I'm gonna just stick w/ the Pantene Mask to help me stretch. I've had no issues with it so far and it works like a charm. You know how that PJ itch is tho, you always wanna try that 'new' thing...

I totally understand. I was making a list of dominican conditioners I wanted to order for christmas last night. I decided to just give my silicon mix to my sister. I figure she can have it and if I feel the need to try it one more time, she is only 5 minutes away now. I used the pantene last night, I only let it on for like 5minutes and my hair feels great. I gave my cousin a tub of it Sunday.
