Miss: Burts Bees Green Tea and Fennel shampoo- smelled great but made my hair hard like a pile of bricks. It was sulfate free and I only used a tiny but:ohwell:I might give it one more try later on.

Hits

Vatika hair Oil
Suave Milk & Honey conditioner
J/A/S/O/N Natural Jojoba shampoo (it's lauryl/laureth sulfate free)

No misses!:trampolin

:look: How can you have hits and misses for October if October is not here yet? What exactly is a hit and miss? Is a hit a good product and a miss a bad product? This is my first time even attempting to respond because I did not know what it meant (yeah I'm slow...lol).

Hits are products you tried and you liked. Misses are products you tried and didn't work for you.

Hits:

-Paul Mitchell Gloss Drops - Costs a billion dollars but I really love this stuff.
-Qhemet Alma & Olive Heavy Cream - Used it to baggy the other day, ends felt moist all day.
-Carusos - I'm finally getting better with these things!!! :yay: I think I was taking them out too soon and my hair would dry puffy cuz it wasn't all the way dry.
-Castor Oil - Works well in so many different ways. My staple for life!
-ORS Replenish (in the bottle) - My hair really loves this stuff. Great smell, great slip, great moisture. Awesome.

On The Fence:

-Giovanni Direct - Used it to airdry on Friday. My hair felt really really good but it was flaking. :nono: I don't have dandruff or anything like that, the flakes were was coming from the hair. They're gone now though... my hair just flaked when I combed it out after airdrying. I'm going to try it again for sure tho because my hair feels awesome.
-Kenra Volumizing Conditioner - DC'd on dry hair for like 30mins. I like the smell but I'm wasn't like super duper thrilled with it. And my hair has absolutely no more volume than before. Im going to try it again tho, maybe as a rinseout?
-Keracare Detangling Poo - It used to work SOOO well, but lately it seems to leave some kind of film on my hair. I'm gonna clarify next week and see how it works. Or just sell it or something.
-Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum - Still haven't been super thrilledwith this product. Maybe I'm using it incorrectly, do you have to blowdry hair after using it?

Miss:

-PhytoOrganics Enphuse - Wasn't too thrilled, don't feel compelled to spend $15 on it again. I'll stick w/ Aphogee 2min or try Aubrey GBP.
-Keracare Foaming Wrap Lotion - Just..... no.

That's all I got right now. Man this was super long!!!

I just used that last night. BTW, The giovanni direct will grow on you. The first time I used it I was like, okay..thats it?...but when I started to get more and more newgrowth and everything was making my hair feel funny I pulled it back out and it worked like a charm.

Hits are products you tried and you liked. Misses are products you tried and didn't work for you.

I kinda figured that....

HITS: shampoo for relaxed hair, Intense fortifying conditioner treatment and recovery oil moisturizer...all are Elasta QP products.

Have you tried using the Carusos with end papers? (When relaxed) My ends used to be frizzy and puffy when using the carusos, even after letting my hair dry completely. When I started using end papers, my ends would come out sooooooooooo smooth. I would put a teency bit of serum on the last few inches of my hair and then wrap with end papers, and then put on the Carusos.

If I were still relaxed, I'd be using Caruso's non-stop.

Gymfreak - Thanks! I'm not gonna give up on it.. I'm not sure why the flaking stuff happened, but I just really like the way my hair feels. So I'll give it another go. :yep:

TSU - Yep, I started using end papers too!! :D I think that made a big diff as well... Today I used a teeny bit of Paul Mitchell Gloss Drops on my hair before I used the Carusos and let them dry for like 30 mins. Not bad at all. :D

Miss: Aveda Elixir Leave-In--I came across a bottle hidden in the back of the display at my salon and snatched it up. I read so many raves and sad posts about this being discontinued and thought I had gotten lucky, plus my stylist recommended it a while ago for WnGo's. I don't know why!! It did absolutely nothing for detangling and I had the most hair lost during a rollerset I've had since joining LHCF. This ain't got nothin' on Lacio Lacio!!

Was a hit but now a miss: Sunsilk hydra tlc 24/7 creme. My hair soft at first but after my hair dry a few hours later, it's kind of crispy/strawlike.

Hit:

My Solid Gold (name brand, not the actual metal) hair dryer that I bought from Wal-Mart.

Not only has it cut my drying time in half, but I can do it on medium to low heat, further reducing heat exposure. I'm not sure if its the wide tooth comb attachment or the rate at which the air comes out. Either way, my hair gets nice and dry, straight and shiny without high heat. Amazing.

K-Pak reconstructor. I love Paul but I hate the way my hair feels when I use his reconstructors. My hair loves K-pak so I'll be switching pronto.

Paul Mitchell-The Conditioner. A classic. I don't know what he puts in that bottle, but it makes my hair feel soft, has sunscreen, helps make my hair even straighter and doesn't take a lot. I bought this huge bottle in Feb. and I'm just now running out. I use it only when I straighten, which helps.

Herbal Essence Pin straight conditioner. I've straigtened my hair with and without this conditioner and the difference is night and day. It really does get pin straight which is how I like it.

Misses

My entire protein/shampoo breakage fiasco. That's all I have to say about that:nono:

HIT:

Today I tried and really like EO Clarifying French Lavender Shampoo

I am only using sulfate free shampoos now and this one was nice. Good for hard water, too.

I used this a while back and it was the same for me. A big MISS.

Continued hit:
ORS Hair Mayo- I used to use this and then this product got lost in the pj shuffle. I revisited it after reading so many ladies here use it and I have fallen madly in love, what a great DC. A staple has been born. :drunk:

Hit

Henna mix w/ yogurt added- this is a huge hit. Application was much easier, Mixture was smoother. Lossened curl pattern and hair is easier to comb. I love it. Will continue this from here on out.

No other hits or misses so far this month.

:yep: Oh, yeah. I definitely have to cosign on this one. I just started with this a couple of weeks ago. I followed MonaLisa's advice and used it on dry hair. Wow!! My hair was soft, strong, and moisturized. Excellent deep conditioner. I just went and got the big jar at Sally's yesterday :love2:.

I also got 4 3packs of Fermodyl. I got 3 of the 619 and 1 of the 233. I mixed 3 619's and 2 233's in a spray bottle. Love those things. They need to sell it by the gallon. Can you imagine how much that would cost?:ohwell:

I love using Henna this way!

I'd buy it by the Gallon.

Although I do like the ampoules. Makes it easy for me to get it all over and portion is out right. I know myself - If I put it in a spray bottle, I would use way too much!

Hit: Lacio Lacio - On rollerset only!!! - I've had this for a while and was using it on air dried hair and on hair that was being blown out. Didn't see the big deal. My sister roller set my hair last week using it and my hair hasn't felt so soft and supple in a very long time.

Neutral - Giovanni Direct Leave In - Its ok. I don't see any difference in my hair after using it except for the fact it seems to help me straighten my new growth (6 months post) so I am neutral right now.

Miss - Giovanni Direct Smooth as Silk Conditioner - I think my hair needs something thicker than that, so for now, staying with my Motions CPR.

TBD - Silicon Mix - Ordered last week (funny, all I saw were raves, up until I ordered it..now seeing neutral and miss comments:perplexed). I really hope I like it.

My first Hits & Misses post!!!
