Could i please have some suggestions of inexpensive, commonly found protein conditioners.

When i look at ingredients i'm not sure what to look for.

Also, if a conditioner says it is- ie Reconstructive, Repairing or strengthening does this mean it should contain protien?

Hiya...
first off...Hey neighbour! Just noticed you are in South London...same as me!

Inexpensive Protein conditioners
  • Motions CPR
  • ORS Mayo
  • Aphogee reconstructor
  • Motions protein reconstructor
Hardcore Protein Cons
  • Aphogee...(why cant i remeber the full name?)...its about 15.99GBP
  • Designers Touch Post Perm Treatment (the one i'm using now)
HTH

Giovanni's Nutrafixx protein rich conditioner.

Rusk's Calm conditioner, guarana and ginger 60 second hair revive that has hydrolyzed wheat protein, hydrolyzed soy protein and hair keratin amino acids.

The Nutrafixx is great and I just tried the Calm Conditioner last night for the first time and it felt great too. You can use the nutrfixx as a deep conditioning reconstructor and the calm conditioner as a quick conditioner. I am going by what it says as a 60 sec hair revive. I was thinking of trying it next time as a deep protein conditioner and see how it works since it has so much protein and it boasts added strength and body.

I got Giovanni at whole foods market and the Rusk at Ulta or you can get it at Marshalls for $9.99 for the 1litre or 1.8 FL. OZ size.

Motions CPR
Motions Silk Protein
Africa's Best Hair Mayo
Lamaur Bone Marrow Treatment
Ion Keratin Builder (name?)
Jherri Redding Natural Protein Conditioner

I just realised that when i first went natural i would use the Motions CPR for normal and deep conditioner. It retained so much length but didn't realise it was protein treatment.

Now, i'm in the 2nd year ii've got complacent and my hair is suffering.

I gonna go back to it and i'll try out a few of the others to.

I guess my hair likes protein. :yep:

If I'm not mistaken I think Garnier Fructis Length and Strength is a protein conditioner as well.

I quickly bought Dove Regenerating Hair Mask for dry/damaged hair.

There isn't a BSS on my home from work and i had to get something from the chemist. (if you have seen the pics of my damaged hair in another thread you'd understand)

I have to say i think its excellent. I applied it to dry hair and let it sit for about 30 mins. I then shampoo'd etc.

I will be purchasing some of the suggestions though as this was just an emergency.

Candy - do you have a list of ingredients you'd like to share?

Aphogee Reconstructor or Mizani Kerafuse! Each must be followed up with a moisturizing conditioner after being rinsed properly or you WILL NOT Like the results.:drunk:

Aubrey GPB
ORS Mayo.
Giovanni Smooth as Silk....I see obvious hair growth with these items.

I do use the Motions CPR conditioner when there is shedding. Stops the shedding at least after one or two washes.

I have purchased and tried soooo many protein conditions/treatments and I always end up coming right back to eggs!!! You can mux it with maye, you can mix it with olive oil, or you can mix it with ORS Hair Mayo conditioner.
