MTG for humans- what do you think?

That's great they have quick shipping. Do you plan to track your progress Sareca? I wonder it it the oil of cade is what created the essence of bacon smell.

I'm 33 days post relaxer so it should easy. In 30 days I'll measure the NG. If it's more than an 1in I'm in business. Thickness is harder to measure.

I'm also starting my DH on it. I'll take pictures of his hairline.

Mine came today. It ordered it day before yesterday. It smells the same just a less intense and a little sweeter. That's good enough for me...

I've been debating trying a growth aid, but I need more info on the smell. Is it likeable? Not strong enough to notice? If you had it in your hair and a sexyfionegorgeousmuskledsinglestraight and interested man came in and leaned close to where he would get a wiff of your hair, would you run or lean closer??

Can you be more specific on the smell.... ???

I got mine today. That was fast!!

A few observations:

1. Smells like MTG with purfume in it. But, it is not as bad as MTG. Milder. Definitely easier on the nose. Not sure I'd like to smell it all day, but I can definitely use this more than MTG.

2. I only tried MTG once before I threw it out, but I do notice one thing about Max Gro - the Sulfur is not as "dissolved" as in MTG. I know it is hard to dissolve Sulfur, but in the MTG, it seemed to emulsify better. The Max Gro seemd to be a little grainy

Not sure if I like that. I made a sulfur mixture once and I did not like the graininess of it and wanted it to be more like the sulfur in MTG. So I made a creamy pomade to put on my scalp and blended it in the blender. It was much less grainy that way, but I am too lazy to make that mixture again.



Not sure when I will give this one a go. We'll see.

I'd lean close and wonder if I smelled like bacon later. Oh wait... I'm married now! *sigh* It's not likeable, but I don't think anyone else can smell it unless they put their nose on your scalp right after application.

Take the original bottle, shake it up, pour out 1/2, refill with mineral oil, add a splash of bermagot and rose (??) essential oil and you'll have the new one.

My DH said it smelled like his mom was pressing her hair when he was a kid--like bergamot grease and burnt hair.

I think it is the cade oil that is giving the strong smell.

I mean all of out Sulfur mixes, even if we do smell the sulfur, does not smell like MTG.

It has to be the cade oil.

It must be, not even sulphur smells as bad as whatever that is... yet another advantage to using BT. It actually smells GOOD.

I think you are not missing anything if you stick with the Original. This one doesn't smell much differently. erplexed

There is only a SLIGHT difference. It is just not as strong.

I don't want to use it now. Why do I do this?!?!

I bought the BT Pomade - didn't touch it - sold it in the exchange forum.

Now this one!! I am not that interested in using now. I still don't think I care for the smell of it. I am really interested in what other's think.

I may just stick with my Lenzis Request oil scalp massages. Nothing extraordinary about the growth really, but it is a little more than I usually get.

Sareca, the first homemade concoction I made had too much sulfur in it, so I'm whipping up another batch as we speak. But, I haven't tried it out yet, so I can't comment on the growth as of yet. I do have a question though: were you wearing gold or sterling silver jewelry?

I whipped up my own batch too, Miss how could you tell there was too much sulfur in there?

It definately turns my sterling black but Tarnex gets it back shinny again.

I posted on the other thread too. I bought a couple bottles of original MTG and was going to try that, but did some research and found the other one, so I ordered that one too.

I HOPE IT WORKS!

I'll let you know at the end of the month. I'm expecting it to work the same (fill in my edges and slightly increase my growth rate).

I like the way the leftover oil feels on my hands --very soft.

Does it list the ingredients? I'm curious what oils they used and if there is any other active ingredient other than sulfur? --- oh darn I should have read more of the thread.....

I thought it was supposed to smell better, now I have not tried MTG before but I heard that it smelled and this still does, it smells like bacon grease or some kind of meat I am scared wild animals are going to stalk me when I go outside. AWWELL I paid my money so i'll be smelling like a smokehouse for awhile, maybe i'll use it on hte nights before my wash so I don't stink at work only at home
