FYI. I just purchased CON Shampoo and Conditioner from Target for $1.86 ea. You just can't beat that and the moisture that you get is great:grin:

I wish that I could get down with CON. I love the way it makes my hair feel while it is wet, but for some reason, my hair does not respond well once it;s dry. The only thing I can think of is the Balsam in there. I don't know, but my hair rejects it.

I have a big liter of the green label one, too. :look:

i don't know if you have an older or newer version, i ordered a bottle of the abba moisture scentsation shampoo from drugstore.com and it contains ALS, maybe i have an old bottle

That is VERY interesting! I bought mine from the grocery store. They had a dual pack - BOGO free of this one. No telling how long they had it there. The front of the bottle even says "Sulfate-free shampoo for dry dehydrated hair". THe back says "100% Sulfate Free".

Here are the ingredients on my bottle:

Botanical Infusion of: (Water , Symphytum Officinale Extract, Geranium Maculatum Extract, Urtica Dioica Extract (Nettle), Yucca Filamentosa Extract], Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Myristamine Oxide, Sodium PCA, Glycerin, Glycol Stearate, Wheat Amino Acids (150 mw), Polyquaternium 10, Hydrolyzed Wheat Starch, Disodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Limonene, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, ABBA Aromatherapy Fragrance

Interesting.

I recently tried out the ABBA Complete shampoo from a sample I recieved. That one has ALS big as day.

Ladies, I am getting ready to relax my hair and I decided to see if the neutralizing shampoo is sulfate-free. It is!!

The Profectiv Neutralizing Shampoo Mousse is Sulfate-free! You can buy cans of it separately if you don't use that relaxer.

Sulfate free shampoos are next on my list. I used to do CON for years but I want to try some of the more organic products for a while and switch it up. I found travel size versions of J/A/S/O/N Lavendar Shampoo as well as Avalon Lavendar Shampoo and Conditioner and Lemon Shampoo and Conditioner for 1.99 ea at Whole Foods. I hope these can somehow help with my horrible sebborheic dermatitis :nono:

You're right Destiny. The moisture scentsation does contain ALS. However, Abba's Nourishing Shampoo is sulfate free.

Where can I find this? TIA :)

Thanks for your replies. I don't like that CON has lye in it (Sodium Hydroxide). So I am looking for others.

By combining Sodium Hydroxide with fats or oils, a natural chemical reaction takes place and turns the ingredients into soap. HTH

Why You never told me this, I could take that off your hands
