Hey ladies,

I'm glad I found this forum. I am in need of *alot* of tips in order to get my hair back in shape. I bleached it three years ago (I know, bad idea) and it has not been the same since. I relax it on occasion, but it never stays too straight and it's pretty out of control. It's lost it's shine, and I would love for it to grow a few inches before I renew my vows in March. Suggestions on vitamins, shampoos, conditioners, and other tips are definitely appreciated! Thanks again!

Welcome!!!!!

Amla oil should help you with the shine and strethen your hair. I love amla oil. The unscented kind can be found at from nature with love, but I use the stinky kind.

What's your regimen?

If you use a curling iron often, you should probly stop. Deep conditioning with help. Try more protective styles.

Welcome, there is plenty to read here and you will soon try many things and hopefully find what works for you. I am currently taking silica, b-complex, mult-V, and Sea Kelp which have helped a lot in not just my hair but skin and nails two. With regards to shampoos and oils I am into Aveda DR and Aubreys Honeysuckle and GPB with oils I try and go for as pure as possible which has help cut down in scruffy and dirty scalp issues...I use jojoba, amla, vatika, avocado, castor and camelia oil....to name a few!:lachen:....Good luck with your journey!

Welcome!!

I once knew a shag..she was vegetarian.
You've come to the right place for tips and support. Welcome again!

At this point, I don't have a regimen. I wash my hair twice a week, and condition it, but it's still pretty dry, and it sheds too. I don't use curling irons, but I have used flat irons in the past. I'll add amla oil to the list. Do you recommend any good shampoos and conditioners?

Hemp hydrating poo is good, I also use VO5 extra body poo for movement. I love hemp hydrating conditioner. For condition washes I use cheap conditioners like VO5. How long is your hair? Have you thought about CW's?

Hi and welcome.

The other ladies gave you some great links. Do a search of the "complete vitamin guide" I put together info from this site and others all in one thread. It might help you get some Ideas.

I've never did a conditioning wash. Right now my hair is past my shoulders -- I would say its inching towards the middle of my back. It used to grow pretty fast, now its pretty much slowed down.
