OK I have to purchase the following types of conditioners this upcoming weekend. Please share your recommendations for the following categories and why you recommend it.

I’ve been using, Silk Elements Mositure as a DC, Pantene Pro-v anti breakage for weekly non-DC.

I need to purchase a Deep Conditioner, something that infuses moisture
I also need to purchase a cheapie but good conditioner

And I’d also like to buy some sort of conditioner leave in…

I’d like a DC that has “that” tingle, what kind of oil can I add to my DC to achieve that tingle.

What would you recommend? Thanks in advance!

For me....

a cheapie... suave

a deep... I use UBH(ultra black hair), quite pricey but my hair responds to this...and it tingles.

leave-ins...Herbal Essences breaks over creme and UBH lotion creme, I even use my cheapie suave for a leave in on my extra dry crown area.

rinse out cond... nexxus humectress(I also used this as a leave in on my dry crown area) and naturelle's hemp hydrating cond.(has hemp seed oil and hemp protein... smells awesome!)

hth!!

You can add Peppermint Oil to any DC to get that tingle. It works. I use Terax Crema for my DC's and I DC with every wash.

For Leave-Ins I love: Terax Botanical Leave In, Abba Nourishing Leave in and Kiehl leave in. Each works great for me. I don't rank one higher than the other. Love them all.

Regular conditioners: I love the Aveda line and have nearly all of their conditioner and shampoos. I also love Abba Scentsational (oh, and Abba Scentsational has that tingle). Aveda is my staple line..they don't have a real deep conditioner though..that's why I use Terax for that purpose.

that is in my UBH deep cond.. along with menthol.

Thanks Ladies. I will print this and take it along with me. I was scared to add any oils to my DC's for fear that it may change the product or consistency. How many drops do you add for the tingle??

my UBH deep con. already has the peppermint oil and menthol in it. But I have added peppermint oil to shampoos and bodywashes for that extra zing! I added no more than one or two dropper fulls. Play around with it b/c if you add too much it can be irritating to the skin/scalp.

Hey!

For a really moisturizing deep conditioning treatment I usually use an Aubrey Organics conditioner. I like the Honeysuckle and rose and the White Camellia. I also use Pantene relaxed and natural breakage defense mask with heat for atleast 30 minutes. That usually does the trick.

For cheapies, I like VO5 strawberries and cream. I use it when I use a strong dandruff shampoo jus to soften my hair up before I deep condition.

For leave ins I like herbal essences breaks over cream, sunsilk 24/7 cream (the pink and the purple ones). I also use giovanni direct when I get further into a stretch.

Peppermint oil will add a tingle to anything. If you want an affordable conditioner that will get your scalp really tingling, try Elasta qp scalp stimulating conditioner. This stuff makes my scalp and hair feel wonderful. It really wakes it up and still helps moisturize my hair. It is not a heavy duty moisture treatment so I usually apply it mostly to my roots and mix another on my conditioners with it to use throughout the length of my hair. After 30 minutes under the dryer, my scalp and hair feel amazing.
