I am thinking of buying a new flat iron and these two seem to be the leaders of the pack. Please tell me which you prefer and if it is very user friendly. Also if you have result pictures... POST THEM! TIA!

I have used both and prefer the Chi by far. Only complaint is no temperature dial. The Maxiglide was too bulky and awkward to use and forget about using it with the teeth in:eek:

My siggy is the result of using Chi with their heat protectant (silk infusion):D

I know this wasn't a choice but since you are thinking about a chi I believe you would really love the FHI, it is the BEST flat iron. You can get it from Folica.com for about $80.00. it has a temperature control and goes from 140 - 430 degrees. I'm a transitioning 4 a/b and I'm 8 months post relaxer so I don't have to tell you what a nightmare my roots are. I have a 1 inch FHI flat iron model 207 RVI that iron straightens your hair so smooth and shiny in just one pass. I bought it after Sistaslick raved about it on the thread about which is the best flatiron (I cant remember the exact title of the post) and she showed before and after photos that were great! Folica.com offers a lot of nice free gifts for purchases over 75.00 and the free gift this week is a really cute pink and black tote bag.

I'm telling you if you purchase it you will not be sorry!!

Why o why, did you post this? My inner PJ is ready to buy:crazy:

Thanks for the compliment,Motherx2esq:kiss:

Used the Maxi today for the first time today and I liked it. :yep:

I used the first heat setting, no steam/teeth and didn't get a cramp in my hand because you don't need much pressure when gliding through the hair.

Didn't have any problems with it being bulky either.
