Usually elucence or BB kicks for curls. My hair is natural, so i need like some type of cream or pomade that can aid in styling byt make my hair FEEL soft. I can get my hair to look good NP! but feel good is another story.:nono:

You can create your own. Here is a receipe that I use, at this point most of my family is asking for a batch of it, because of the results they get. It is very simple to make.
Home Made Leave-in
Cheapie Conditioner - Suave, Vo5, etc.
Amla Oil
Jojoba Oil
Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe Vera Juice
Infusium 23
Curl Activator
Peppermint Oil

1 Part of everything with the exception of curl activator and conditioner those I put in as 3-4 parts. The peppermint oil I will put in about 10 -12 drops to every 8 oz that I make.

You can consider the parts as ounces.

Use your discretion on the oils and the other items. Use what works for you. If the Infusium does not work for you then take it out. I have at times added a detangler as well as other oils.

Or you can purchase a store brand. One that my DH and other family members use is Dove Moisture spray in the blue bottle, you can get it at Walmart, Target and I believe CVS. I will also use this when I have run out of my homemade leave-in

Here is a recipe from Motown Girl that I have used in the past.
MotownGirl’s Homemade Spritz

  • 1 – 8oz spray bottle
  • 3oz. Distilled water
  • 1oz of conditioner
  • ½ oz oil (olive oil, avocado, grapeseed or sweet almond)
Simply pour ingredients into spray bottle and shake well (be sure to leave some room to be able to shake). This mixture can be used for twists, braids and for freshening up puffs and “out styles”. It gives the perfect mixture of moisture, softness and sheen (This is a watery mixture)

Hope these help. Feel free to test or mix up how ever you want. See what it is your hair likes.

hi there,

may I ask how you like this? I was putting a sample order together for sistasplace and this was in my shopping cart(among ALOT of other stuff :drunk::spinning: lol).

I like Qhemet's Olive Cream.

I used to swear by Qhemet's Sidr Tree Butter Balm but that has been discontinued. :(

The Olive Cream is very nice on wet hair. I use it after I apply my Fermodyl leave in.

I'm with you girl. I hope the replacement ofTree Butter Balm" is as good as, if not better than, the original formula.

I'm with HoneyDew. LOVE that Sidr Tree Butter. I also use the Olive Cream. It's excellent. I'm gonna miss that Sidr.:nono:
