Hello ladies i would like to try Kenra and i wanted ideas on what products would be wise to purchase e.g shampoo, conditioner please give any advice .

I've only used the moisturizing conditioner and I love it!:drunk: It provides a lot of slip.:yep: I also have the leave-in spray but, I don't use it that often. I've never used the shampoo b/c I haven't heard great things about it on this board.

HTH!

I use the entire line and I love it! I'd recommend three things: the moisturizing shampoo, moisturizing conditioner, and the daily provision leave in conditioner to start.

If your hair is fine, or easily weighed down, you should go with their volumizing line. It is just as moisturizing as the moisturizing line but the shampoo and conditioners are lighter and a little less rich.

Everything in the line is gentle, even the clarifying/chelating shampoo.

You can contact them through their website and they are typically pretty good about sending out samples. If you can get the samples that will help you decide what you like. But, if you decide to purchase first, just like with any salon brand, you can take it back for a refund if you are not satisfied.

It's a great line!

Why don't you use the leave in often Candi?

ok before i place my order anything else what about the masque??

I haven't tried the mask yet though. :lachen: They want $17-20 for 5 ounces-- I'm not balling that hard. :lachen: And plus I'll scoop that up in one use, Lord knows I am heavy handed. :nono::lachen:

I do have these line items, the:

Kenra clarifying/chelating shampoo
Kenra moisturizing shampoo
Kenra moisturizing conditioner
Kenra volumizing shampoo
Kenra volumizing conditioner
Kenra daily provision leave in conditioner
Kenra Shea butter reconstructor
Kenra Straightening Serum
Kenra Volume Spray
Kenra Silkening Mist

thank you so much all of you for the advice .Before i place the order i want to make sure that the site is legit

They do have secure checkout on that site you posted, but you still have to be cautious. :yep: I had someone fraudulently charge $300 onto my credit card under the name "Online Marketing Services" or something like that after I ordered from one site. Luckily I was notified before the transaction could clear.:nono: It wasn't the site per se' though, it was my computer. I had picked up a virus somehow and there were keyloggers installed I'm guessing. Well, my ebay account was hacked too and the folks even had the nerve to have an AUCTION going in my name! So I'd run a spyware cleaner before I enter any info on the computer. You never know what is waiting for you to type something in. :ohwell:

www.metrobeauty.com is a secure site to purchase kenra online too. Only thing is, they might wrap your products in porn newpapers. :nono:

I just placed an order from the site listed for several products.. the shipping is pricey though, the cheapest shipping was $16.07, but since they products are discounted, I figured I'd order anyway.

I used Kenra from 2003, when I joined LHCF, until 2005, when I made the change to KeraCare. From 2005 to 2007, I made another change to Mizani. I can tell you that comparatively, my hair looked and performed better with the Kenra products than with the other two hair care lines. I did, however, really like KeraCare Humetco.

It's interesting. Every product line to which I introduced my family members they are still using. My brother still uses Kenra, and my mother and father still use Aveda.

Wow, I never noticed this

I use it right after the moisturizing shampoo and before the conditioner for 5 mins or so.

Northernbelle, I've never tried the styling creme :scratchch I do plan to try the other line items just to see what they are about. I think I am going to try some of their color care items next. It's fun being a PJ when you're working within one line (makes it justifiable :lachen:):lachen:

And yes, those folks at metrobeauty wrapped my stuff in porno newpapers. They had a picture of two men in the buff hugging wrapped in an American flag and ads for "Poosie Power Drink"--- an energy drink. :look: and other adult things...
