Finally Managed to Grow Out My Left Side!!

My left has always been shorter and more retarted than my right. These pics are from May - Today and it looks like lefty is finally catchin up!! Woohoo!! These are all pics of me in the shower. The down side is I am seein how much longer I have to go to get to BSL. *sigh*

Thanks everyone!!! I think the low manipulation and two big two strand twists clipped up everyday is what helped temendously. Its not the most glamorous style to rockin everyday but its worth it!

thanks again all!!! low manipulation, very little product, and virtually no heat seem to be the key for me. i'm just glad to have finally found something that is working. i never thought i would get much further than shoulder length, but now to feel all that hair on my back when i wash is just amazing. A couple more months and hopefully I'll be APL...then on to BSL and I can't wait to start that journey!! i can already feel myself turning into that annoying chick who is constantly flippin and tossin their hair lol!

That's great! My left is in slow motion too. I was thinking about keeping my sides pinned up because they are shoulder length and I don't want it brushing my clothes and breaking off. Hopefully, i'll have progress like you!

Excellent and inspirational!

My left side has been damaged and not growing as quickly as my right. I kept cutting the right side, which left it healthy, but left me wondering how long it could be if I let it go. After joining the board, as of May 07, I decided to stop cutting the right to match the left. I am wearing a protective weave now, but before I did it I took a piece down on each side to photograph the length.

I just left it alone. Twisted and clipped it up everyday after every wash and let air dry. No manipulation and no heat is key for me.
