I was just wondering if anybody hair has grown using her products.....I'm interested in getting some of her products and book.

I'll forever support Cathy Howse. It's an excellent tool in the begining of the hair journey. Lots of members, including myself have used her method and still do with success. I don't use her products because the shipping from CA is a beast. The items from her line I do suggest; the book (is a excellent common sense guide to growth) the Deep conditioner (tingle is fantastic).

I found her book extremely helpful and still follow some of those tips. I also used to use her products, but don’t so much anymore. They weren’t bad, they just weren’t that great for my hair! I think she has done a lot to help people (and herself:lol:)

I have never used her products, but I did purchase her book early in my hair journey and used her method with products I already had. I can say following her method did wonders for my damaged hair. She's a smart lady. Then I found the forum and the rest is history.

ITA. She started me on my journey, but over time I moved away from her products. My hair was in such bad shape that nothing worked (including her products).

I'm a cathy howse junkie: babygurl (on fotki) uses her products as well: there are tons of us: there's an actual Cathy Howse 365 Day Challenge on BlackHairMedia.com

I have the Moisturizing Cream & Conditioner. The cream is cool for adding moisture to my blowdry or braids w/out shrinkage. Seems like it would be too heavy to wear with a straight style though. I haven't tried the conditioner yet, but I plan to use it next wash day. I've heard pretty much nothing but good things about her products, so I'm looking forward to trying it.

I use her products and me likey! :yep:

Her Deep conditioner is great - the menthol is a nice addition...makes my scalp so tingly!

I used it when i first started

They were the first moisturizer and conditoner i ever used, so my hair benefited from that

But, i strayed away after reading hair boards and learning that there were actually other products that worked for black hair, and learned that my hair loves glycerin, and her products dont have any

The moisturizer is a good creme, might be fantasitc for people who dont love/need glycerin in there hair, but i do think other products will do the same thing

The Dew is good, i love the smell, but i think any spray like elasta h-two will do just as good, the smell is fantasic, but i can get it from profectiv products

The conditoner was okay for me too, but let me say, it tingles like no other product i've ever come across:yep:

I dont actually use her products and have never used her products just her methods...and they've contributed to most of my growth.

I haven't used any of her products, but I have read her book. I think it' s good book, but I disagreed with some of her statements. I also read a combination of other books to gain more info.

I've read her book in combination with other hair growth books and I can say that I learned a lot from her and the others in just how to take care of my hair better. However, I've never used her products. I don't feel a need to as I can say that my products work fine for me. I may use the techniques from those books but I use my own products and that works just as well I would think. Afterall, no product is a miracle..especially when you are abusing your hair. I think the NUMBER ONE culprit behind damaged, breaking, slow growth is what we do to our hair..not what we put on it. So the techniques on how to treat your hair--everything from combing, washing, deep conditioning properly, and how to use a protein treatment.... in these books are very important. If you take good care of your hair and use great products (no matter who makes them..but what works for your hair) you should be fine I would think.:yep:
