I think I posted May's hits and misses in the April thread

Hits:

My new silk bonnets. They're nice and big, comfortably holding my braids in.feel comfortable, I'm not getting elastic marks on my forehead, which is also a win.

My moisture spritz, is keeping my braids well moisturised.

Miss:
As I Am Hydration Elation, worked better when I mixed in avocado oil, but no slip. I need a moisturising DC that both moisturises and gives good slip. For what they're charging for that, it just isn't worth it.

Hit: 4u by Tia Multi-use hair oil. I use it on my ends before wrapping or pin curling. The oil does a great job of keeping my ends soft without weighing my hair down.

HITS: MoKnowsHair hydrating shampoo and elasticity treatment has been a hit for a few months now! These products are so well-formulated and I think the price point is very reasonable. That treatment leaves my hair feeling both moisturized and strong.

New Shedavi H20 shampoo and conditioner.

Shampoo: supposed to be moisturizing. Made hair feel like it had been washed with bleach. Horrible. Worst than my harshest clarifying shampoo with SLS

Conditioner: supposed to be moisturizing. Felt great going on. Upon rinsing my hair felt hard and I had knots in my hair. In some sections my hair stood straight out like I had stuck my finger in a socket.
I re.washed and used komaza protein and followed with a moisturizing conditioner.

They don't give refunds so in the garbage they go.

Update: I tried the conditioner with a different shampoo. It works quite well. It can also be used as a leave-in. Tried it that way and it worked well. So the shampoo was the culprit.

Miss: EAP Heat 1 inch flat iron. It's extremely overpriced. It's the same quality as those off brand flat irons being sold on amazon for $40 - $50. I'm so glad that I didn't pay full price. I am going to give it to my sister to use on her wigs.

•Tao’s Yerba Mate Concentrate- my edges are starting to get fuzzy. They are so soft and my edges are no longer being rubbed out. I’m hoping to have full edges by October.

•Diluted Infusium 23 as a braid spray- only spray that keeps my hair moisturized within braid/twist extensions.

MEH:
•Curlsmith Cowash- my hair doesn’t like coconut oil and it is the 8th ingredient. I didn’t catch it before purchasing. My hair feels okay. I will finish it, but won’t repurchase.

Mizani Wonder Crown. Had a dry patch in the front of my braids. Massaged it in, wet it slightly and wiped it off. Product /flakes goneeeeeee

Update#2 I kept the shampoo and use it as a handwash. Very drying and overscented. Will probably need to add oil and glycerin to it.

The conditioner only works when I co wash my hair. Otherwise the conditioner makes the crown of my hair look like a halo. Must be a pH issue.
