For the past month or so the sides of my hair has started flopping:sad:. The right side isn't as thick as the left so that droops even more:nono:. The hair at the top is very fine so it still grows up for the most part:drunk:. Is anyone elses's hair like this? How do you blend it? DH says to just leave it alone and be lopsided (crazy man:rolleyes:) but I'm kinda crazy with trying to look JUST right all the time, or at least when I'm going out.

Hey Kita!
I'm sorry u are going thru this. I think u may be able to get it cut into a shape or believe it or not, ur DH may be right by leaving it alone. Hope things work out tho. I'm waiting for my hair to get longer and then I will shape it in the future.

mine has recently started doing this too, i believe because it's starting growing out and the original shape is changing. yours is probably going through this too.

not sure if you wear a straight fro/wng or use headbands or scarves to accessorize. my hair's too floppy to go straight fro and i hate hair in my eyes so i was using scarves but now the shape is changing so much i've just about given them up (for now).

i've now started using those hair accessory combs you can get 3 in a pack @ walmart and bss's to make the shape more even. i've also found some really long ones - about 4 1/2 inches long and they cover a large area so i don't have to use as many to shape control.

the pic in my siggie is how my wash n go has morphed (sorry it's a twist out but i dampened it ;)) - you get the idea though, i hope. i used the longer 4 inch combs to hold the hair back on both sides.

pictures in red are after i used the smaller combs to control uneven hair - they're near my neck and above my ears. the picture on the right is how my wng really looks without extra help.

try the combs first, try not to cut your hair if you can, it's growing and i bet things will even out soon.

Do the combs pull on your hairline? I used to wear a headband or a hair tie and it started being too much stress on my hairline that's why I've been trying the fro, plain wash&go look. Then I tried using clips to clip the top back so I wouldn't have the top going up and the sides going down and it looks like a lopsided pyramid:perplexed

not at all - you really don't use them to hold your hair - just to gently shape it.

goodies sells them - they're kindof dark brown and they're not the real thin, brittle plastic kind. the one's i used in the red shirt photo are about 3 inches long - i used 4 or 5 of them to shape it up.

eta: just give it a try, the combs are cheap and you can find them anywhere. @ least you can try it first then if they don't work you can get your hair trimmed ...........<owww did i just say that?>

Lol, thanks LynnieB I'm going to try this before going *snip snip*:yep:

Sweetkia.....hopefully this will give you a better idea of how to use those little combs.....

btw, the teeth of the comb are pointed towards my ear. once you've got it inserted and the hair covers it, you'll never know it was there.

experiment with the placement (top, bottom, sides) and see if you can get the look you want.

hth :)

Wow it sounds like you are describing my hair to a T. I have had this problem since BCing in June.
