So it was between Lady Velvet and ORS. Well, I found LV mink oil, but it's very difficult to find the relaxer. So I ended up with ORS Lye and was very pleased. LV is my second choice, though.
IMHO this relaxer is very harsh. An old stylist used this in my hair a few times but I didn't like it at all and it left me with tons of scalp burns and probably contributed to the breakage I was experiencing although I didn't care for my hair then as I do now but still... I would only recommend this relaxer to someone with super coarse hair that is hard to relax. A co-worker of mines daughter (13yo) recently got this relaxer and she said she felt it was too harsh too and her daughter suffered some breakage. She is definitely not using LV again and I won't either. I really like Affirm or ORS. If you do decide to go with LVmake sure you protein treat and moisturize really well.
