I just saw Hairology's thread about Pathmark's V05 sale (NY). I have about six V05 conditioners and four poos in reserve (not counting the different scents I have open now). That should be enough for now...I think. :look:

I do need milk and a few other items. I could go to my neighborhood store, or I can go to Path... :shopping:

Well umm...What favorites do you have stashed away? How many do you have? Where do you store (hide) them?

:::sliding my 30 bottles of conditioner under my bed:::

What?? Dont judge me!!

Odd lots had a paraben free condtioner that is normally 4-9 bucks a bottle, depending on where you shop, for 2 bucks each. I cleaned up.

Then I came and told y'all about it.

30 bottles, huh?

:scratchch I got ten already, so getting 19 more bottles keeps me within normal limits.

Ohhhhhhhh, I didnt know you were looking for an enabler! Gurl, all you had to do was ask!!

You can never have too much money, hair, or conditioner!! Although if you have much hair, it will require much conditioner, which can cost much money, so if you can find it cheap, get it while you can!! Waistlength hair laughs at 16 oz of conditioner. :ha: So stock up!!

How'd I do??

Uh, I'm ten miles away from waistlength so I really don't need all those bottles. I just can't let that bargain pass. I love the different scents.

I just don't want to go overboard and wind up decorating my bathroom with poos and conditioners in a basket. (Good idea btw, just came to me).

ETA: I was hoping someone would say something like 10-20 to curb my want for more. But noooo!

This is something I had to determine for myself. I went through a phase of stockpiling Suave Milk & Honey and various V05 conditioners, because they were so cheap. The Suave went okay since they ended up changing the formula. I ended up giving a lot of V05 away because I just didn't need them. I hated looking in my product closet at all those bottles.

The same thing ending up happening to me with White Rain Tropical Coconut, my stockpile got up to the mid- teens on 2 separate occasions. :perplexed It's really wierd once I start stockpiling I get creeped out if I have too many. When that happens I start Using Stuff Up.

Psychologically I'm much more comfortable with having favorites in stock in quantites between 2-3. With White Rain TC & Pantene Breakage Defense I currently have 5 of each and I'm okay with that. Anything beyond that makes me feel a camera crew will come to my house and do a special on OCD on me. :nono:

That's just a little glimpse into my pj mind! :spinning:

I dont feel bad stockpiling my favorite co washes conditioners because either the formula has changed, discontinued or on sale for 50 cents or less.
I have bins full of DDTA,DDGB,Suave Milk & Honey,White Rain Tropical Coconut conditioner,Indian products.
I never want to go out and buy a conditioner for co washes.
I just bought 2-3 wide drawer cart to store my staple products and appliances.

Come on, help me out......What are the bolded?

I sometimes have to buy more than one bottle or jar of something. I normally have about 3 in stock or certain products. Now, the WRTC....I have about 11 of those in stock. It was so hard for me to find them in my city. When I did find it, I couldn't help but buy as much as I could.

Examples.....
V05 Strawberries and Cream: I have about 3
Lenzi Request: I had 3
End All: Well, I love that stuff. So I will just leave it there!
Ojon Styling Cream....2 for $$ deal

I'm really into FENG SHUI.
I'm very ANTI-CLUTTER.
I don't have stashes of anything.
I buy on an as needed basis.
I throw away things I haven't used.
Its very freeing. I live in a studio
apartment so space is a premium.
Also, I like to try new things...
I buy one thing use it up and then
buy something else or if I really love
it I just buy the same thing again.

Lazy,wanted type less as possible.(Smile)
Daily Defense Tender Apple and Daily Defense Ginsing Boost conditioners which were discontinued a couple of years ago.

Thanks! I was thinking something had slipped past me! ;)

Ah, Priestess, you understand. I have little OCD tendencies, and I don't want to go too far. I picked up four different V05 conditioners today. They didn't have the one that I was looking for, so that's it for a while.

Labett: I don't have much room for extra storage, but I don't want to miss out on sales. It's hard too pass up good deals or hard to find items.

SouthernTease: Maybe I'll get to where you are after mastering the Clutter Challenge in OT.

Letitia: I understand about the WRTC. I only have one, but I might pick up two/three more if I see it on sale. Pathmark usually have a good stock of it.

---

I like to do mid week co-washes, different pre-treatments with conditioners, and co-wash after hennas.

You wouldn't guess it from all the stuff I buy or the things I save, but, space is at a premium here too. I really don't plan to keep more that two of everything there. I still haven't figured out where to put the second set.

It's fortunate that I live in an area where lots of things are accessible. The closest Sally, Dollar Tree, Family Dollar and Wal*Mart are around the corner from me. CVS, Walgreens and a mall with a black-owned BSS are down the street and open 24/7. The supermarkets that carry WRTC, two more Sallys and an ABSS are nearby. Target is the only store I have to "travel" to get too.

The only reason why I say two, is because I plan to buy staples when I see things on sale. If my bottle is under 50% full and the product is on sale a Sallys that month, I need to buy. Right now, I have three bottle of L'Oreal Vive Pro, that I don't want to use, irritating me. They are taking up space. I'm glad my family is coming into town next week. They will gladly take them off my hands.

I usually keep a maximum of two for the other products, but for some reason I tend to get loopy over the cheapy poos and conditioners. If I stay between 3-4, I should be good.

(I inherited this sale thing from my mom. Must break the cycle. )

Well coming out on this one........ I like to buy stuff and my latest fad of things to buy is hair products so I have a large bin like the kind you get a Walmart with a lid on it full of products. I have a box under my sink full of products and in my master bathroom my entire counter is full of products (hair) I gave away all my victoria secret bath stuff to make room for the hair products  My husband has been kicked out the bathroom so I have the entire bathroom to my self and I can add as much stuff as I want without going on the radar because it starting to look like Sally's in there anyway so next I am going to move my towels and wash cloths out of the closet in there and start putting stuff in there  It just makes me feel so happy to have products (lol, lol) :lachen:So I say that you can never have too much stuff you just got to fulfill that inter....PJ

In my own little humble opinion I think that there is no such thing as having too much hair stuff. If you think so, then the man has done his job at opressing you !

Okay, I'm totally joking ! But still... I go through phases where I wanna give all away/sell it, then phases where I go buy it all up/borrow it. Now I'm into this new thing where I'm selling it to get more. And there is nothing wrong with this :look:! Right?! My goal is to find everything my hair likes and keep a reasonable amount of it in my stash. By next week, I'm not allowing myself to by anything new. And the only thing I should need between now and next year this time will probably be some setting lotion and possibly serum. *Sigh* I'm getting sad thinking about this...

So instead of blaming my mom, blame the man. Hey, works for me.

I agree with the bolded. I get a little bored using the same thing week after week, so switching things up makes it interesting. I don't feel too guilty because it's cheap.

Sorry to bring you down T.

Note to self: Take a large shopping bag to KAT25's house and see what goodies are there. Got a strange feeling Sally's ain't got nothing on her. :yep:

IMO, you can never have too much!!! :drunk:

Btw, that is the PJ talking...Broke me is in the corner crying, shaking, and hungry :lachen:

I'm s'posed to be in the Use it Up Challenge, but for some reason, lately it's like I never signed up for that dang thing. In fact my inventory list is longer than when I started! My problem is the "Wish List" portion of the challenge. If I put something on that dang wish list, w/in the next 3 days to 2 wks, it will be in my bathroom (We're not even gonna discuss Trade Secret's sale on Liters, hehe :sekret:) I need to get me one of those big Walmart bins...The stash is migrating from the bathroom to the linen closet to the bedroom.

Yeah, I got it bad, but this is my hobby and I enjoy it. At least it's not a meth addiction or something off the chain like that! I may be broke, but gosh darnit I look good

I never have more than 2 extra of anything in my stash, except Fermodyl 619. I always keep extra WRTC, Pantene RN BD mask, BT, Garnier L&S leave in and S&S serum. There might be a few strays I get an extra of if I find it on sale.

I don't think you can never have enough. I have a bin in my room full, my dresser is full, my husband dressers is full(we're separated) my bathroom linen closet, under the sink and behind the tub is full of products. I have a think about towels and wash cloths so I am moving them out of the linen closet. I get a cute basket overseas, can't find anyone to make them here for like 20 dollars and put it on the bathtub corner and fill it up with hair care products and everynow and then I go on there and try something else for that week. so Yeah I love changing up, I love knowing I have enough for whatever I want to do. I been good I haven't brought anything in atleast two weeks thats good for me. I need to go to walmart and getanother two drawer bin.

You still a PJ :whipgirl: giggles. I am about the same. I dont have a whole lot of stuff I keep extras on, but I have some I have to have extras on! Now I can slow down and use some of it. When it hard to find something, you must get extras! (plus the fact that stuff get disco'ed so often!)

*Not if I get there first.... :look:

U still my NY dawg Victorious... :yep:

Back to the topic: I feel more comfortable knowing I have a minimum of 6 bottles of WRTC, I prefer having at least a dozen in the stash. At least 4-6 tubes of NTM.

Now that I have a new love/staple - Pantene Breakage Defense Mask - I am on a new mission for the next two weeks. This needs to be stockpiled...I have coupons burning a hole in my wallet and I won't be satisfied until they have been used at the lowest possible price I can find at an outlet that accepts BOGO coupons.

*okay, I'm done*

*thank you*

:)

Yall see Mo ain't right at all! She already reached apl and can't leave one WRTC on the shelf for me. She's forcing my hand to pay regular price. :shopping:

I plan to treat my hair to a henna and two/three WRTC co-washes right after relaxing to celebrate apl. I would like to have a few more in reserve. I better be nice to the stock guys.

All right now!

You and Trudy don't play when it comes to favorite products.

Pinkskates - I notice you left a guilty one-liner and no add'l info. You must have a garage full of goodies.

Good looking out Letitia. Brownie thought she had it under control, but she mentioned "sale" and I knew the real deal.
