Flowah Powah
I know that long, long ago, when dinosaurs roamed LHCF, many loved cheapies. Nowadays, it seems more common to spend $30 on two ounces of conditioner. I'm not knocking ladies who make that investment, but Biolage, Brigeo, Living Proof etc. are not more important than my college loans

So, with all that silliness behind, who still loves the simple cheapies? My favs are:

V05 Clarifying Kiwi Shampoo: I realize that sulfates are a must if I'm going straight, or just when I need to degunk my scalp after a few months of sulfate-free. Oddly enough, this is less drying than my SM or my shampoo bars! Go figure ;)

Suave Naturals Conditioners: I like the family size essentials/naturals whatever they're called. Coconut used to be my ride or die, but lately I also like Strawberry Fields. It smells super nummy, and I think it has even more slip than coconut. I can also use these as a leave in when I'm in a pinch.

Sunflower oil: Idk if this falls under cheapie, but I can get a big 16oz bottle for $10 and throw in some Rose EO and it smells soooo so good, like an expensive luxury oil, and it lasts me multiple lifetimes. I used to seal with coconut oil, and only buy the cream of the crop, unprocessed, extra extra extra virgin that was like $20. No more, fam.

Gorilla snot: This recently replaced EcoStyler since I'm late on their formula change that does nothing for my hair - I believe it is cheaper at about $2.50. I like it for slicking my hair into a bun that will stay there forever, but wouldn't wear it on loose hair. I just have to be careful not to let it run down my neck after a shower, that seems to irritate my skin, but any other skin contact doesn't do anything.

Bigen: I used this a long time ago, not sure why I'd ever stop. I tend to keep my hair black, it turns red for one reason or another. Permanent dyes will lift before they deposit, Bigen only deposits. For only 4 bucks a pop and super dark coverage, I love it. No more Feria bull crap.

Tell us yours!! :D

ORS Sulfate-free shampoo
Any Dove conditioners
Aussie Moist
Aussie 3 minute
The sadly discontinued Naturally Silk Elements Deep Nourishing Conditioner (it was As I Am's Hydration Elation at a third of the price for twice the amount of product)
ORS Ghee Butter Leave-in

I mostly use cheapies. Where I am, all of these are under $7.

My "perceived cheapies" are the following:

-Dabur Vatika Oil
-Jamilah Henna
-Parachute EVCO
-S-Curl
-Silk Elements Scalp Pre-Cleanse
-GVP Conditioning Balm

I put "perceived cheapies," because all my products are cheapies.

I purchase all my natural and handmade products on sale.

Salon products I purchase when I have access to Cosmoprof and Salon Centric.

I'm thrifty! I don't pay full price for anything.

I love cheapies!

Queen Helene Cholesterol is a staple.

I use VO5 kiwi lime clarifying poo... i used to use the conditioner as my clarifier but, the bottle not longer says clarifying and I never researched whether or not there was a formula change.

Aussie Moist
Trader Joe’s Spa Nourish Conditioner
VO5 moisture milk conditioner
Elasta QP poo and con... don’t remember the exact names

Is this the correct Naturally Silk Elements product? It's been in the clearance section for months.

Anything by vo5. I need to get a bottle today to detangle my hair before I wash it. It's gonna be a while. I went swimming on Friday, cowashed on Saturday...

I'm a straight hair natural, but the last few days my hair has been natural. It's rare that I let it shrink all the way and I'm praying it doesn't cause a setback. Pray for me y'all.

La bella gel is back on my radar. It has barely any hold so I like it for my sporty bun where I get some fly-away curls. I got like a massive tub (30 oz?) for 3 bucks. I imagine it would be great for non-crunchy wash and goes or twists.
