Anything Exciting?

For me... I might use up my stash 3 times over in 1 year. And I have a good regimen that's really simple and my hair's growing and retaining. Not too exciting... the end of next year I'll probably be more excited though. I have a consistent regimen but still able to try different conditioners, which is what I want because I'll probably never stop buying them

  • Shampoo with CON Argan Oil
  • Condition with Joico K-Pac
  • Do a light protein treatment with Aphogee 2-min Reconstructor
  • Deep Conditionw/Naturelle Grow Marshmallow Root (ands other stuff lol) under my bonnet dryer for 30minutes on High heat
  • Air-dry for 15 mins under a t-shirt
  • Blow-dry with Smooth n' Shine with Silk Protein foaming Wrap Lotion and layer with Silk Element's Heat Protection Creme
  • Flat-iron on 300 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ponytail, Bun or 2cornrows unless I wear it down.
This is the new routine @krissyhair

I'm almost finished with my 7 day MHM challenge. I missed a few days after the first day because I was lazy. Once I'm done I think I will only do it 2x a week. My hair seems to be responding very nicely to it though. My hair just can't take every day washing.

Got a bunch of stuff I ordered from curlmart with their 20%|free shipping sale - a CJ DC and leave in, bee mine DC. Also ordered a premixed Rhassoul clay wash from etsy. The ingredients look awesome can't wait to try it - it's by NurCreations.

Have any exciting hair updates or milestones?

Seen a cool hair video, or product in the shelf?

I wanna see/hear.

My old salon in Atlanta rarely, ever, EVER endorsed products.

They JUST sent me an email saying ~~~~ , "We've tested and like these products. They have tea in them . . ."

My food almost fell out of my mouth. This is a healthy hair salon that throws shade at Wen.

Guess some time next year I'll have to look into those. The line is Pai-Shau.

Anyone heard of them or using them?

So I looked this up (yep. that's a pj for you) and apparently it's a new line that just came out a few months ago from the former CEO of Moroccanoil. I can't find anyone who's selling it online so the salon locator it is....

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg I've been testing out new deep conditioners. (Not that I need any lol) Recently I've tried and LOVE Joico moisture recovery balm. Yesterday I picked up a 2 pack It's a 10 deep conditioner set from Target. Now on my wish list is: Joico Kpak intense hydrator and Moroccanoil smoothing masque which I'll probably grab after the holidays. The MoroccanOil masque has argan butter in it which sounds yummy

I've also been trying to perfect a style other than roller sets. I would like to master a braidout so I can alternate between the two. I've found that my braidouts are bomb when done on previously stretched hair and not using an actual styler. I like either Carol's Daughter hair balm or Cantu leave in cream. Gives more volume. Still in the testing phase though for the next few months.

@whosthatcurl How did it turn out? I bet it was pretty!

The back of my hair is BSL curly! Front is APL- BSB when curly. Stretched hair is HL/TBL. My hair will be 6 in April lol.

Curly hair used to be a break from my length but now my curly hair is getting to be just as much of a bother. <-- not in a bad way just I always have to be careful how I sit, place my purse, bending down, walking through stores etc.

I have my 4 staple products and I'm happy.
1) Joico k-pak for protein
2) Kinky Curly knot today leave-in
3) Sulfate free shampoo
4) Silk Amino Acids

After watching a Mo Knows Hair video I purchased a Massaging Shampoo Brush.
I plan on using it daily on my scalp.. and on shampoo day (before shampooing).

I miss invigorating scalp massages at the salon.

I tried using a shampoo brush but the vibration didn't seem strong enough so it wasn't much better than using my fingers. I figured they're not all created equally though so I might try another one down the line.

Let's see, I went ham on buying chinese hair toys to spice up my hair buns and updos. I purchased a wooden brush which isn't as nightmarish as it sounds and apparently helps with sebum transfer and is good for scalp massaging a bit. Ever since using Camille Rose Curl Maker, I've been loving my wash and goes and I can exclusively finger detangle. Since finishing up my henna, my hair is way easier to detangle and my frizz isn't as prevalent. I'm kinda over the color but I'm going to wait a few months until I go back to black again. I don't know if I'm going to straighten my hair this year as it hasn't seemed to have grown much and I was on a cutting spree recently.
