What's the strongest everyone's using (silicone free and natural preferably)? I had DRC but can't find it and I didn't like the ingredients anyway. I'm approaching waist length and feel as though I need something stronger than before. Did anyone feel like as their hair got longer they needed a stronger protein?

BTW I'm currently using Curl Junkie Repair Me

I use Komaza's Protein Strenghtner. It's all natural ingredients. I consider it as a medium protein treatment and I love it. My hair can't tolerate hard protein treatments, it just makes my hair feel more coarse than it already is.

I never felt like I needed a stronger protein since it's getting longer, however, since I am transitioning right now I've been using it more to keep my hair strong and to ward off breakage.

The strongest I am using (and my regimen is protein intensive) is Nutress Treatment for Extremely Damaged hair. It does not have natural ingredients, though but IDC and I love it!

Wow! I googled it and it does seem great but the ingredients are rough. It will be my last resort. I just wish there was something really strong and natural....

The strongest protein I've ever used was an egg. I did it once and will never do it again - it was too strong for me. If you're game, just whip an egg into your favorite deep conditioner and leave it in for a while. That will give you protein in spades.

I used Aphogee 2 step once a few weeks ago and my hair felt like straw, even after DCing 3 times that week and baggying. I had less shedding and breakage though, but I'll never use it again. I'm eyeing the komaza protein treatment or the more mild aphogee 2 minute.

ETA: I'm 4a, waist length, hi-po

Aphogee 2 Step
Neutral Protein filler
Nexxus Polymedic Reconstructor
Nexxus Emergencee

I know they're not natural per say, but all of these work phenomenally.

GM @julzinha - you speak highly and often of the Neutral Protein Filler. Can you find this on the ground? If so, where? Thanks.

Yes, I love the versatility of the product, it was one of the first hard protein products I used and it help save my hair. You can literally add it to anything because it is pure protein, no fillers and affordable. You can find it at Sally's for about $6 for a 4oz.

The great thing about the product is that you can dilute it to your liking. Depending on how much you add it can be mild or medium.

Excellent! Thanks @julzinha - what DC products do you use? I'm going shopping in a little bit and I am out of the DC (Eden bodyworks)

I love Jessicurl WDT, Too shea, Bee Mine Be-Ti-ful DC, Curl Junkie Curl Rehab, Silk Elements Megasilk DC
