Did anyone see this about WEN Cleansing Conditioner?

I'm a big fan of co-washing with VO5 because a lot of their conditioners have EDTA, a chelator, as an ingredient in the first 10. Obviously it's not going to completely chelate/clarify your hair but it does aid in cleansing without replacing the buildup. The Kiwi Lime Clarifying conditioner is my favorite to co-wash with but I've been using others with EDTA that's higher on the list.
Thanks for this info :yep:

I'm switching between ORS Aloe and Keracare moisturizing. And deep conditioning every week with Dry and Itchy Scalp or ORS Replenishing. The hair sliding off my head has stopped. I shouldn't have changed a good Reggie. Luckily I only went by the instructions for a few washes in a row, but never more than 4 before I clarified. The thinning would probably have been more dramatic.

Update...

So after reading this thread the first week of April, I used a clarifying shampoo immediately. I took out my crochet braids the next week then did a scalp scrub with sugar and coconut oil. I put the crochet braids back on and had the following regime: spray my scalp with DHT blocker liquid scratch at least three times a week, wash with a clarifying shampoo and DHT blocker conditioner every two or three weeks, scalp sugar scrub and protein treatment between braids (every 10 weeks), and take a daily multi vitamin (Alive!).

Three months later. I think my hair is doing better. When I went back to put on more crochet braids, my braider commented my hair was stronger and thicker in the crown area. I already thought so but I wasn't sure if I was just seeing what I wanted to see. I think I can see growing hair too short to be braided in the cornrows. I'm just glad to see some progress because I tried so many things. I even stop relaxing a year and a half ago. I don't know if the DHT blocker is working or the clarifying shampoo. I will continue to use both. I will probably create a separate thread when I feel like my hair have recovered, maybe someone will learn from my mistakes.

Glad to know your hair is Getting better.
I am just curious why are you using a DHT blocker, have you been told that DHT are causing you any troubles? Thanks

Nobody told me to use it. I wanted to try it because DHT is supposed to cause balding and my hair was thinning in the crown area. I also thought my thinning may have been hereditary. My twin sister's hair was thinning but not as severe as me. Then I realized she too co-wash and use sulfate free shampoo. She just don't do it exclusively like me. I think that's why my case was worst.

DHT is the main cause of pattern thinning, usually the crown and temples are the most affected area. I am studying trichology, don't hesitate to PM me if you need advices or anything.

@Keen, thanks for the update and glad to know things are going much better. I look forward to more good updates from you. :-)

@Keen, congrats! I'm so glad you were able to turn things around. What dht blocker are you using?
Groganics. I like the liquid scratch because it is easy to apply. It takes me less than a minute to spray my scalp. If I'm feeling lazy or in a hurry, I just spray my edges and crown area. I think it is made for braids.
