4c Naturals- Naked 4c Hair

Hey all.
So after two years of lurking I finally bit the bullet and bought a subscription.
I have shoulder length 4c hair and haven't ever seen hair that look's like mine on youtube. But my sis sent me this video and I was floored. My hair looks exactly like this except shorter! Does anybody else here have hair like this, or nah?

thanks for suggesting mstanish I checked out her videos and I really like them. I hope she returns to youtube soon! I've lurked here for a while and in other threads when somebody mentions 4c, a lot of people seem quick to say that 4c isn't real. As someone who is 4a/b with a daughter with 4c hair, what are some differences you've noticed?

I feel like 4c coils are much smaller than 4b. I definitely have 4b hair and I can tell a huge difference between dd's extremely tiny coils and my slightly larger ones. And although I know texture isn't part of this particular typing system, 4c hair is very much like cotton or something when you touch it. It's very soft, squeezable and springy. My daughter's hair has about 70% shrinkage.

@georgie. I also watch 4c Hair Chick. Also Alexis BD looks like my baby's hair as well.

Yeah, my hair is like that, especially at the beginning of my journey. It seems to change over time though through pregnancy, henna, several cuts, brazillian treatment etc. I might even have heat damage after going to the hair dresser one time for straight hair about 8 months ago. I say that because my hair now is more curly than it was in the past. I like it though because it's easier to manage. I haven't updated hair pics in a while though.

this is what I figure as well, the size of the coil makes 4c, 4c. Does you 4b hair have that 'zigzag' that typing charts show or is that just a myth?

First of all, I love natural hair in all its states.

In some of my transitions, when I braided with extensions it looked quite different than it does when I don't use extension braids for my transitions. Also when it is short it looks different than when it starts to get longer.

My hair looks exactly like this, but shorter and blonde in the top.

My hair is 4c and it looks nothing like this. I don't have springy coils like that.
Since I've been using clays to wash my hair I have noticed small coils all over my head. But they are much looser.

I think my type is more like beautyfrohair and Jessica Pettway on YouTube.

I find hair like that doesn't shrink as much as coilier hair.
