i use it for oil rinsing and my hair comeś out soft and strong. its as if it balances pr something. giving it strenth. so now its like a staple product.
after washing and all i oil rinse with it.

Dayjoy I applied it to my hair like a pre poo aka oiling. And baggied over night, I co washed the next day around midday. And my new growth was gone, henna does not do this to me.

i have fine hair but im 5 months post.
when i use it,just adding it after shampoo for example,i massage it in, let the oil sit 3-5 min, rinse. -= its like butter,no knots, seems like i have no more growth (the new growth is soft and wavy, seeming indeed that i have 4a instead of 4b). i rinse, shirt dry, ann serum and air dry on big twists. my air comes out so soft

I am natural and get this effect from dabur vikita oil..

Now that you said this, I've been using Vatika Oil on my flat ironed natural hair the past couple of days and it is much straighter! When I was just using grapeseed oil it looked much puffier and like it wanted to revert back on a humid day. So hmmmm... Now I really beginning to wonder about this stuff.

not a permeant change. I would say a wash or two at best, but frequent use gives a longer lasting smoothess

I've heard of it being used for strength and darkening but never heard of it straightening.

Glad it didnt do that to my hair when I was in India. I would have been mad! But it also didnt darken my grey hairs so I guess it was a full fail for me

in still use it. but i need to buy more. really need to go indian shopping :-) my son needs coconut oil, my other needs thicker oil, i need amla.

êta: maybe i should try mustard oil for my younger son. yeah i will try that out

I'm going to have to try this mixed in with my fenugreek oil. I feel like I have a whole smorgasbord of oils now that I am using.

Amla and fenugreek is a great mix. Made my own for a pre poo. It lasts forever. Cant say it loosened my 4x a whole lot but the Indian powders and henna have.

Thank you ladies for this thread, today I just proved this for myself. My NG was a beast and I wasn't combing my hair anymore but today I made a pre-poo of Amla oil plus Tresemme Naturals. Let me tell you, my hair was stretched immediately and I could detangle without a problem. It is so soft, I just can't stop touching it.

Does anyone not rinse it out and leave it in?
My friends are hooked on everything I'm doing so when they saw me buying it they also bought it and told me they were not gonna rinse it out. I wonder how that's gonna work out for them since it's been stressed that it contains mineral oil and doesn't smell so good. My hair is so straight y'all.

The one I have is in a base of sesame oil - no mineral oil. I guess it can't hurt to leave it in!

This is so interesting... I'd love to try this for my rollersets. As long as it's not permanent!!!!! I need more reassurance.
