Interesting. I'm not a fan. Idk why it's so stiff. I also think I've watched one too many of Reniece and clients' bun drop videos.

I don't like the color. It should have been a richer color with better placement. Color fades & that color already looks faded so as it fades she's is going to have to get it redone. Since she wears her hair curly 100% of the time she hair would look better with a few chunky highlights instead of color all over her head like that.

People don't realize that a hair color that looks great when your hair is straight doesn't necessarily look good when your hair is curly. So you have to make your color decisions based on which way you usually wear your hair.

IMO it looks stiff because she doesn't flatiron at all and she probably didn't use a high temperature or pass the iron over her hair enough. When I do my own hair the results are bigger hair with much body and a bit of shrinkage. Only professionals get my hair slick straight (I love it), but I don't have the time or patience to get it that perfect.

I'd love to see her go to Reniece and get it done professionally. I bet her hair would be hip length or close to it.

balayage on very curly hair is just going to look like you have 2 or 3 month old highlights. They should have colored her hair differently.

I agree. When I think of bayalage I think of this girl. This is one of the best color jobs I've seen demonstrating balayage on curly hair. But I think because this girl has longer hair and a looser curl pattern you can see the actual effect of the color, when she straightens it, the color is even more gradual and natural looking. With Napturals shrinkage and length not so much so IMO it doesn't look all that great to me. I believe a different approach should have been used for her hair.

I love her hair but I actually think the shaping in her updated wash n go video was cute and full and this shape is just ok. I like her hair color when she's outside in sunlight, and in curious how it will look in her twist outs.
