Hi ladies. The old formula worked wonders but was wondering if the new one works too. I've also bought seamollient and hydrolised keratin to try to reformulate. Any results with the new? Any recipes to make it work like the old? Thanks
 
I ordered a bottle about a month ago from the place I had been getting 'the old' Formula from for about a year.

This time, they sent me the new-er bottle (with the Flowers on it).:rolleyes:

I ended up mixing it with other stuff.:rolleyes:

I called and of course they told me it's the same product, based on what they were told by EQyss.

They were told they had to rearrange the way the ingredients were listed on the bottle. And they were told there is not change in the performance.

I said, I knew alladat.:yawn:

However, I think the consistency is 'slightly' different from the original. Performance wise, I can't say because I mixed it with 'stuff'.

I will still be searching for the Original Formula.:ohwell:

Hey, thanks for the response. I'd love to know what you're mixing it with. I have a bit of the old formula left and I agree-I think the consistency has changed. Disappointed with them changing it as it's hard to get supplies to doctor it up where I am.
 
I've been mixing it with whatever Growth Aides I have on hand.:yep:

I mixed some with Oil. Some with M/N. :look:

Some with various Grease(s) that are categorized as Growth Aides.

One is the Coffee Pomade from The Pomade Shop and a few others I have on hand.

I should have kept some straight w/o mixing it, but I just mixed it all up.:rolleyes:

I will still try to search out some with the Original Label. But, it's getting harder & harder to find.

I wish I would have purchased a Gallon of the Old formula when I had the chance.:ohwell:

ETA:

On the Exchange Forum someone a while back was making what they claim to be the original formula and was selling it.

From what I remember they had quite a few buyers and listed the ingredients in the thread.
 
Yes I think I remember it was JeterCrazed, but I think she's not on here anymore and I couldn't find the amounts of stuff used. I'm adding hydrolosed keratin, keratin amino acids, silk protein and some stuff called seamollient to my existing mix.

Hoping we get some good growth results, and also hoping other ladies will chime in about what they've added and what's been working for them too.

I use the "new" formula. I mix in a few drops of silk amino acid, JBCO and mix before placing on my hair. I like it.
 
I've been thinking about this from the othe day. Mega tek smells heavenly and I really loved what it do to my hair and how it made it feel.
 
I ordered the old formula from JeterCrazed a long time ago. Thing is, I was ordering so much stuff at the time that I never got around to using it. I stumbled over it a few weeks ago and the consistency looked a little strange, so I figured it's no longer good? I wish I could get more.

I mix it with good ole MTG to mask the smell :lol:

I order a bottle earlier this year. I'm fine, dense 4a and my hair needs protein so regardless of the growth factor, I like using it as a conditioner.

FYI for anyone who may be interested. I made contact with JeterCrazed today about making a batch of the old mix for me and she said that she would be willing to make a fresh batch with order of 8 bottles or more if you ladies want. If anyone is interested, she told me to post her email address:

When I ordered my previous bottle from her, it was a ton of it and she shipped really quickly and price was reasonable.

Yes, sorry, don't know how I missed this mention. I actually received my order from Jeter last week. I'm sitting her with it on my head right now!! She will make another batch if she has enough people interested. She can be found on Etsy and when she has at least 8 orders she will make the batch.
 
I'm still using mine. I put mine on directly on the scalp, but I've only been doing that for the past 6 months. Previously, I applied it mixed with castor oil and olive oil. My hair is a lot thicker and my heat damage has grown out. I've been happy with it.
 
I really want to try this so can someone give a direct link to where the old formula is being sold? I dont want to get swindled.

I emailed her to ask her the name if her Etsy shop and haven't heard back from her yet. I looked on Etsy and did a search for "PEOPLE" and entered Jetercrazed and her shop came up. So you can go that route. Like I said, she will make a batch when at least 8 orders have been completed. If she doesn't get she will just issue refunds.
