Do your edges unrelaxed reveal your true hair type

my hair at my edges is different from the hair on the rest of my head. it's very coily except for a "landing strip" of hair that I can't type for nothin lol. it's like kinky straight. but I have multiple textures all over.

Not really. My edges in the front are weird. Like soft waves, but still type 4. But as a relaxed head, my edges were different. They looked rough. But I also have multiple textures in my head as well

Nope from my edges to about 4 inches back my hair is 4c . But from the crown to the back of my head my hair is 4a . My nape is 4b.

lol no. My edges are soft but super kinky. No curl pattern at all.

A few inches back and my hair starts doing all kinds of weird things.
My whole head is just weird.

I don't think so. My edges and nape are the roughest part of my hair. My crown and front are softer and looser. It's annoying that different parts of our hair feel totally different
Grrrr

Same with me. My edges and nape are 4a. My crown is 3b all the rest is 3c. My edges are nape are out of place But they smooth easily. I have to deep condition those areas very heavily.

I have multiple textures on my head and my edges and nape are more like a course wave.

Mine's the exact opposite. My edges and nape are weirdly soft. My whole head is 4a/b, but I swear the nape is, like, 3b! :spinning: I can't figure it out. My crown is the tightest and breaks off easily.

My mother confirms my findings. She said that I was born with "a shag" which, I'llassume, means I had a whole head of hair and the back hung lower than the top. When it was time for her to nurse, she'd ask for me and the nurses would joke that one of them had taken me to get a wash and set. :look:

My edges are 4a and kitchen is 3c. I swear my crown is a 4z. And the rest is 4a. I don't think the edges reveal anything. Some people have 3 or 4 textures on one head, LOL!
