I can answer that. It's an Apple & Oranges comparison.

CJ R-Me goes on smooth and is more like a conditioner.

Methi is definitely a Treatment in every sense of the word.

Step 1 is definitely an Ayurvedic looking strengthening Treatment.

Kinda looks like a combo of mud and baby poop...

Step 2 is also an Ayurvedic Rx but a Rinse Out that you would use after using Step 1.

It's the consistency of a R/O, but medium weight. Not runny and not thick.

I like Step 2 and would have no problem using it as a Cowash or separate from Step 1.

In fact, I could see myself using them both separate from each other w/other products.

I still think Step 2 needs to be followed up with a Heavier Moisturizing DC'er, so I'm calling that Step 3.

Curl Junkie is all in one and like a conditioner with Strengthening properties and I personally, don't think it's as 'strong' as the Methi-Set.

Major hit: Forum members taking notes and offering reasonable shipping, flat rate shipping, and excellent customer service when they start selling a hair line or open a hair product boutique.

Keep it up and we will definitely keep you in business! :dance7:

IDareT'sHair

That makes perfect sense. CJ is more of a maintenance step, but the 2 step is to get dramatic results quickly. Okay, thank you that clarifies that for me.

@DoDo

I said Mud & Baby Poop as a general description for Step 1. :look:

I'm thinkin' maybe more like Oatmeal & Baby Poop.

Definitely a Ayurvedic mixture of herbs & spices.

You have me looking at this clay wash now...I'm intrigued.

Hit:
Donna Marie Super Detangling Conditioner
This is perfect for detangling! I've been trying to find something that detangles my hair easily for almost a year and I finally found it. I had a bad knot at the end of my hair and I decided to go try the DM Conditioner. I put a small amount on the knot and worked it in. I wasn't expecting much..but the knot literally fell apart easily!! I was shocked!! This is on my staple list now :) I tried alot of stuff (Claudie's Mango, Shescentit Avocado, Elucence Moisture balance conditioner, Camille Rose Fresh Curl, The Pomade Shop Coffee Conditioner) and nothing gave me enough slip to quickly dry detangle my hair. I'm happy!!

Hit:
Camden Grey, Lotioncrafter, Wholesale Supplies Plus shipping
All of the stuff I ordered will be here by Friday!! Fast shipping

I'll keep an eye out for your conditioner. Thanks for posting it.

Infusium 23 (the original formula -- leave in treatment) is excellent for detangling tightly coiled type 4 a/b hair like mine. My stylist puts oil on my hair first, then he sprays Infusium 23 on my hair. (I poured it in a spray bottle for easy application.) He saturates my hair because it's below my bra clasp. He divides it by four sections and pins up three sections. Then he uses a blow dryer with the comb attached and works on one section at a time. Then I sit under the blow dryer for five minutes to dry my scalp.

ORS (Organic Root Simulator) Olive Oil Moisturizing Lotion

It's perfect for my ends, plus it's really thick and worth the price $4.99 per bottle. I'll keep using it forever. It's a permanent staple. :yay:

SSI Blueberry Cowash Conditioner: this is the cowash I've been searching for - it's officially been put on staple status! It softened my hair a lot (NG and ends), made detangling very easy and surprisingly was very cleansing.

Mixing avocado, Meadowfoam and coconut oil and applying it to my hair.

Talk about SOFT hair! Yummy :-)

New hit: Design Essentials Natural Honey Curlforming Custard. The first time I used it I used too much (still fighting that heavy handedness battle lol) and didn't "smooth" it in enough so I had flakes. I took a break from it and pouted because I have two jars of it (BOGO at Sally's a little while ago). I tried it again last night, using less and smoothing it in more and I really like it. It's a soft hold which is all I need.

Continued and forever hit: QB OHHB

Major Hit:

Consistency. I've been on my hair journey (transitioning to natural, growing hair to hip length, cutting it all off and growing it back again) since 2008. I took a break from LHCF and could not for the life of my remember my password to this site, or the password to the e-mail this site was connected to, so I had to re-join.

The first time I transitioned/ grew my hair out I cowashed and wet bunned. I used a ton of different products. Sometimes silicones, sometimes not. Sometimes I shampoo'd, sometimes I went a year without shampooing. But I never stopped cowashing and bunning, and my hair never stopped growing.

When I cut my hair off in 2012 I went back to cowashing and bunning (barely, the tiniest bun you ever did see) because that's what I knew. In january of this year I wanted to start rollersetting. So I started shampooing and setting, and I haven't stopped. And wouldn't you know it, my hair is still growing. This time I've even been consistent with products. I love it! I always thought using the same products would make me feel claustrophobic, but I've had six years to experiment and I'm happy with where I am.

It's entirely possible that my hair is just "easy", but it hasn't been easy for me to love it, and I'm finally at that point.

I will list my current staples because they're all major major major hits:
It's a 10 Shampoo
It's a 10 DC
It's a 10 Daily Conditioner/ It's a 10 Leave-in (I loved the leave-in, but I've been using the Daily Conditioner to set my hair because it's a little heavier and lays my ends on the roller better)
Coconut Oil
Entwine Butter Cream Hydrator (I promise I don't even notice the smell anymore... It's a product with water in it but there are butters and oils before H2O so my hair gets moisturized without reverting)
SSI Seyani Hair Butter (but this is the product I'm most willing to switch it up and try something new if I get an itch)

MISS
Getting a defective pump with my 1st order of the B.A.S.K. Sorghum syrup and getting not response from cs concerning the issue. :nono:

Jury Still Out on and possibly a miss: Claudie's Kpangnan Coconut Conditioner- this felt like I putting a conditioning rinse on my hair. I'm assuming this is a DC and it is not worth 13.00. I an get a better DC for $5.00 out the BSS.

Revisited Hit: Soultanicals Marula Muru Moisture Guru

gorgeoushair I can't even look at it right now. I put the bottle under the sink and haven't gone back, cuz the idea of having to pour the contents into my hand has me fit to be tied! I mean, all the money exchanging hands and these ppl couldn't give me functional pump?:whyme: And...won't even respond to my messages???:wallbash: I think I need to meditate.

Hit: Oldie but goodie, African Royale Braid Spray

The APB leave in had started creating a little build up on my scalp so I'm assuming it's better for the hair shaft. The African Royale moisturized my marleys and soothed my itchy scalp. Glad I revisited it.

Her Hair Tonic might be better for your scalp. It soothes it and its not thick like the leave-in. Worth a try.

I bet that Sarenzo is really good. I hate the fact I liked her stuff but she kept closing and discontinuing stuff so much I don't trust her to be consistent anymore.

All her products work for me because she rarely uses coconut, never uses shea butter and has many products that dont have aloe, coconut or shea butter which my hair HATES.

I just agree she does discontinue a lot of things randomly cwmarie

gorgeoushair

I bought & used this as a R/O and it was not a repurchase:yep:

I used the Entwine Couture shampoo, passion fruit moisture masque and leave in last weekend. I also used a little APB leave in as well. My hair has never been this soft and moisturized. I have not had to moisturize my hair for 3 days, which is a first for me.

Random hit: dark and lovely au naturel line the leave in butter
Herbal essence split end cream<<< the bomb!!
