May 2014: WHAT'S ON SALE THIS MONTH? (Hair/Bath/Beauty)

I need to get some things from Ensley's. I see they reduced the shipping from $12 to $9.95.....that's not so much better, or am I just cheap lol?

I've just never understood unnecessary inflated shipping rates. It took me years before I bit the bullet to order from Paynes. See I'm trying to support black businesses....but they trippin':look:

^^^ That site is annoying to navigate and doesn't provide any product ingredient listings.

I was going to post the same thing. On the etsy listings they say you can request the ingredient list but I feel like I shouldn't have to ask for it, it should always be provided.

Heard back from MHC. The Code = mothersday2014 (for anyone interested)

Just did a dummy cart. The discount was $11.70 and the shipping was $11.00, for ONE ITEM. And I hate UPS.

No bueno. I knew there was a reason why I stopped buying from her.

And I don't need to haul where I can get 45% off my total to get the free shipping.

See, horrid shipping costs will curb your PJism.

Does anyone know when Sally's will be having a BOGO on As I AM products? I met a fellow naturalista at church with beautiful hair that uses the product line. I love my Shea Moisture and have nailed my regimen, but she has me curious about those products.

This is a good sale. This is almost as good as her BF sales. However, this is not the sale for you if you're only buying 1 or 2 items and don't want the 8.95 shipping option...with a sale like this, why not haul. It's easy for your total to add up to 50.00 with her prices. I don't buy from sales like these unless I plan on hauling anyway. If I really don't wanna spend 50.00 on products or just don't have it, I call up my friend girl and see if she wants anything and she gives me my money back when the products get here. LOL

I Agree. She needs to seriously look into Flat Rate Shipping.:nono:

Her Shipping prices are a turn-off and it does not cost $11.70 to mail 1 or 2 items.:ohwell:

I had x3 items and had to add a 4th to get Free Shipping and just decided to Abandon Cart.

The items would have been something I didn't really need in the 1st place.

*suxs teef*

This is true gorgeoushair.

However, companies are offering flat rate shipping and I think she can do the same.

Oh well, I don't have any staples from this line anyhow, although I have tried many of her things in the past. They didn't really wow me though.

THIS!! You know as much as I've swapped and paid for shipping, one or two items NEVER cost that much!!

@NaturallyATLPCH

The 'few' things I have left of hers in my Stash either came from Curlmart or Hattache or someplace like that.:look:

I will admit she has gotten better with her discounts. For a minute she was the Queen of 10%:nono:

Her Shipping and CS is always on point and should be especially with the cost of most of her products & shipping prices.

IDareT'sHair, that's good to know. That her discounts have gotten better.

Hey, they definitely work for people that like her products. Her Coconut and Papaya Hair paste was good but it's not included in the 45%.

I also liked her Buttery Soy hair cream.

NaturallyATLPCH

I like that Buttery Soy too:lick: A few of her Lotions are also nice.

I was just telling someone via pm, I can easily see myself replacing Buttery Soy with BlueRoze's Pumpkin Hair Whip.:lick:

I've tried a lot (most) MHC DC'ers and I thought they were good.

I didn't have nay problems with any of her products.

The biggest draw-back for me is the overall price per quantity and the shipping cost.:nono:

If I had to select a costly/comparable line in price, it would be Marie Dean.

I feel you get more bang for your buck, her stuff is good/dense and lasts a long time and she has Flat Rate Shipping.

And she gives you great Samples.

Oh yes...GREAT samples!!

Might revisit her line one day. I loved her stuff when I first big chopped but not enough to repurchase.

@NaturallyATLPCH

I went in hard on her line a few years back.

When I do re-visit, I will pace myself with Purchases.

Her stuff lasts a long time.

I use to refer to it as: "Dessert for Your Hair":lick:

A Definite "Treat"

Great CS, fast Flat Rate Shipping and wonderful samples:grin:

This is true. A lot of companies can and need to offer flat rate shipping but don't. At least MHC has gotten better with their sales.

I actually have the same problem as nmartin20. I've signed up, have a username and password and can't get into the site. So…I requested a new password…and can't even get in. I really want to try their products---but I give up.

Hairitage hydration: everything is $10 in the shop and the be cupcakable lotion, twisting gel, and loc gel are $5 happy shopping!

Here are my two sale updates, one I already posted about earlier... but:

Ulta has their Love Your Hair sale event that lasts all month. I got some great deals, but the one I got only lasted one day.

Additionally, Miss Jessie's Baby Buttercreme has a temporary price cut on Target.com. You can purchase 2 single 8oz containers of the product for less than what it cost for a 16oz. That's the cheapest unit price out of all of them. You don't have to buy two however. I got two simply because I was going for the single 16oz, but Target notified me that buying two smaller containers was cheaper in the sale. Always check how much you're paying per liquid fluid ounce on hair products.
