Ladies I wanted to know which you prefer SDot Beauty's body velvet or B.A.S.K Beauty's whipped custard. I love, love, love B.A.S.K's whipped body custard in the scent lemon beignet. It is holy grail status, smells amazing and feels so dang good on the body. Buttttt, SDot Beauty is having a sale right now and they have a body velvet in the scent lemon pound cake (can you tell I love lemon desserts :lick:), and other bakery scents. Do these items compare? Should I take the plunge and purchase the SDot or just stick with BASK and shop during their sale? Any experiences ladies? Thanks

I can't speak on Sdot but BASK body cream is wonderful I'm in love with that whipped custard lemon beignet (ordered 3 when she had that clearance sale) and the sugar scrubs are nice to use with the custard body cream!!

Would like to try Sdot (nice looking products)...

NaturalBritt87, I have the whipped body custard from BASK and the Body Velvet from SDot beauty. :yep: I have the Body Velvet in Chocolate cherries. I love the scent.

My only complaint about the body velvet is that, unless something has changed with the product, it will separate if it's too hot, sort of like a whipped butter. I contacted her and told her she needs to put a melt advisory warning on the product if she is not going to ship with a cold pack. I don't have time to whip up a product when it comes melted. When mine came it didn't look like the picture at all. My product looks like separated oils and butters.

So I haven't used it yet because I just can't with the separated oils. But when I get a chance, I will use it just to see if it does work.

I will tell you, at least consistency wise, the body velvet does NOT compare to the BASK. BASK is in a league of its own.

NaturallyATLPCH can you tell me what time of year you ordered the body velvet? Do you think it's too hot to order from her now? Would you advise someone to only order that product in cooler seasons? It seems I should just stick with BASK and stock up! Thanks for your reply!

I ordered it in the spring of last year. I would advise you wait until it gets cooler and stick with BASK.

Because you mentioned it, I did use it this morning and while it was very separated (mainly oils and choppy butters), it made my skin feel pretty good.

But consistency wise I would definitely stick with BASK. :yep:
